High Striker keeps the lowest, average and highest normal hit and crit of every spell you use, for damage and for healing, with a separate list for each spec of each character.
Features
- Lowest, average and highest normal hits and crits for every spell, including pet abilities and damage or healing over time ticks.
- A separate list for each spec, so a spell you use in two specs keeps separate records.
- Damage and healing tabs, sortable by any column.
- Three reset buttons for the spec you're looking at: reset all, reset lowest & averages, and reset highest.
- A minimap button: left click shows your results, right click starts or stops recording.
Needs a small helper program
Since patch 12.0, Blizzard doesn't let addons read combat events, so no addon can see your hits on its own. WoW still writes every hit to its combat log file. High Striker comes with a small, open-source helper program that reads that file on your computer and passes the results to the addon. New hits show up after you /reload.
The helper:
- only reads WoW's combat log and High Striker's saved settings, and only writes High Striker's data file
- never connects to the internet
- runs on Windows, macOS and Linux
- is open source, with downloads on the project's GitHub page: github.com/pdcmoreira/high-striker
Setup
- Install this addon.
- Download the helper for your system from the Releases section of the GitHub page, start it, and leave its window open while you play.
- Restart WoW once.
- Click the High Striker minimap button, or type
/striker.
Good to know
- WoW writes the combat log a little after each fight, so your latest fight can need another reload to show up.
- While recording is on, High Striker keeps WoW's combat logging on. Log files grow over time; you can delete old ones from your
_retail_/Logsfolder. /striker minimaphides or shows the minimap button, and/striker recordstarts or stops recording.
Bug reports and ideas are welcome on GitHub.
