HearthHome

Turn your World of Warcraft home into an interactive story. Create, play and share campaigns with choices, puzzles, discoveries, ambience, progression and more. no coding required.

HearthHome

What if your home became an adventure?

You already built the house, chose every room, placed every piece of furniture and shaped the atmosphere you wanted.

Now give that place something to say.

Turn the house into a story

HearthHome turns World of Warcraft Housing into an interactive storytelling space, where the environment around the player can become part of the adventure rather than simply remain a backdrop.

Hide a letter inside a bookshelf, reveal a new interaction after a clue is found, ask the player to crack a code, change the mood of a room when they enter, or let a decision made earlier reshape what happens much later.

Let players discover it for themselves

A campaign can remain intimate and simple, or gradually become a web of discoveries, choices, activities, conditions and consequences that unfold across the home.

And once everything is ready, there is nothing else to explain.

Invite someone inside, let them explore, and watch your home become the story you created.

✦ Your home is no longer just a backdrop

With HearthHome, every room can become part of the story. An object can reveal several interactions, entering a space can trigger an event, a discovery can unlock something elsewhere, and an answer given much earlier can return when it matters.

Your home becomes a place where players can search, choose, discover, experiment, fail, retry, and progress.

Use the same tools to create mysteries, escape-room adventures, haunted houses, scripted tours, character gatherings, explorations, quiet personal stories, puzzle chains, or something entirely new.

HearthHome does not give you a story to play; it gives you the tools to create your own.

✦ Bring your ideas to life

You do not need to know how to code to build with HearthHome.

Simply describe what should happen in the scene: show some text, play an animation, offer a choice, give the player a clue, wait, start an activity, change the ambience, remember an answer, or unlock another interaction.

Then connect those moments together.

A small scene can be created from just a few actions, while a complete campaign can grow into a rich network of choices, secrets, conditions, and consequences.

You focus on the story. HearthHome handles the logic behind it.

✦ Stories are not only meant to be read

HearthHome can turn parts of a story into real interactive activities.

Players may have to enter a code, restore elements to the correct order, use a discovered item to unlock a narrative interaction, or mix ingredients found during the adventure.

Each activity can lead to success, failure, or abandonment, and you decide how the story responds to the outcome.

✦ Your campaign remembers

HearthHome can remember what the player has experienced and let the story react to it.

A discovered key, a name chosen earlier, a temporary state, a need, or a previous decision can all influence what becomes available later.

This allows the same home to unfold differently depending on the player's progress: an interaction can remain locked, a line of dialogue can change, a new possibility can appear, or a secret can wait until the right moment.

✦ Make the scene feel different

Stories in HearthHome are not told through words alone.

You can darken a room, bring in moonlight, add fog, warm light, rain, storms, or more dreamlike effects, then support the moment with music or a perfectly timed sound.

These elements can appear and fade with the scene, helping the atmosphere evolve alongside the story.

In HearthHome, the house remains the stage.

✦ Build it once. Let someone else play it.

Finished HearthHome campaigns can be shared with other players directly from your home.

Visitors can browse the stories you have published, choose the one that interests them, download it, and start playing whenever they are ready.

Received campaigns remain separate from personal creations and can later receive updates from their original author.

You can also share smaller pieces of content, such as a single interaction or an object together with its interactions.

Your story does not have to stay inside your own home.

✦ What if the setting travelled with the adventure?

A HearthHome campaign can be linked to a Blizzard Housing blueprint, allowing creators to share not only the story itself, but also the home it was designed for.

The player always decides whether to install the associated setting, and HearthHome never replaces a home automatically.

When the blueprint is installed, the campaign can be experienced in the environment originally imagined by its creator.

The story travels, and the setting can travel with it.

✦ Learn by creating

You will never be left alone staring at a wall of menus.

Lyssabel guides you through HearthHome with interactive tutorials that take place directly inside the real creation interfaces.

Instead of simply explaining where to click, she helps you build actual scenes, test them immediately, and understand the result as you go.

Everything you create during these lessons remains yours, ready to keep, revisit, or expand later.

✦ Test it. Change it. Try again.

If something does not work the way you imagined, you can test the interaction directly from the composer, try another path, change a condition, rewrite part of the scene, and run it again.

Tests remain separate from normal campaign progression, so you can experiment freely, refine your ideas, and check different outcomes without affecting the player's actual story.

✦ Work with your agents too

HearthHome can export interactions, objects, and complete campaigns in a structured format designed for external agents.

This lets you ask an agent to create, modify, or expand existing content while keeping everything compatible with HearthHome.

Once the work is complete, you can import it back into the addon, review the result, make further changes, and test it normally before saving.

The agent assists with creation, but you remain in control of the campaign and its final content.

⚠ Important: HearthHome does not move Housing objects

HearthHome adds narrative interactions and gameplay on top of your World of Warcraft Housing environment, but it does not physically control Blizzard's decorations.

The addon cannot move furniture, open or close physical doors, block passages, or animate Housing objects.

When a chest, door, drawer, or other element is described as locked, opened, hidden, or revealed, this refers to the HearthHome interaction and its narrative state — not to the physical object in the Housing environment.

Your decor remains controlled by World of Warcraft and its native Housing systems.

Build a home. Then give players a reason to step inside.

HearthHome. Your home. Your story.
