# HC Target Warn

**HC Target Warn** is a lightweight, zero-configuration addon designed specifically for **WoW Classic Hardcore** players. In Hardcore mode, a single mistake can cost you hours of progress. This addon ensures you never accidentally pull a "skull" or an elite mob by mistake!

### How it works:
Whenever you target an enemy, the addon instantly checks its level and classification:
* ⚠️ **Instant Screen Alert:** If the monster is higher level than you, or is an elite/boss, a massive red warning flashes in the center of your screen using native Blizzard raid alerts.
* 🔊 **Audio Warning:** A loud siren sound plays immediately to catch your attention before you cast your first spell.
* 🧠 **Smart Filters:** It completely ignores friendly players, NPCs, and green/yellow monsters that are safe to fight.

### ⚙️ Customizable via Chat Commands (New in v1.1):
You can easily customize the addon to suit your preferences. Type **/hctw** in the chat to see the current status or use the following commands to toggle alerts independently:
* `/hctw text` — Toggle screen text alert ON/OFF.
* `/hctw sound` — Toggle audio siren alert ON/OFF.

*Your settings will be automatically saved even after you log out or restart the game!*
