Hated Company Commander

First public release.

Hated Company Commander is a callout panel for battleground raid leaders. Each tab is a grid of one-click buttons, and clicking one broadcasts a short strategy line to your group, so you can lead the fight instead of typing during it.

Getting started

1. Type /hcc to open the panel. It opens on the last tab you used, and reopens itself after a reload if it was open.
2. Pick a battleground on the tab strip along the bottom: Slayer's Rise, Wintergrasp, Isle of Conquest, Alterac Valley, Ashran, or General for pre-game lines.
3. Left click a callout to send it. The "Callouts send to" line at the top tells you where it will go.
4. Right click a callout to edit its text, or use Add for a new one.

Where your callouts go

The channel is chosen for you at the moment you click, so it is never stale:

• Raid warning, if you are the raid leader or an assistant
• Instance chat, in any battleground or arena
• Raid or party chat otherwise
• Printed to your own chat frame when you are solo, since addons can no longer post to say

If it does not say Raid warning and you want it to, ask for lead or assist before the gates open.

Faction

An Alliance / Horde switch sits below the title, set to your faction automatically. Flip it to load the other side's defaults for prepping or reviewing. Alterac Valley is fully mirrored (north or south, Drek'Thar or Vanndar, the right towers and graveyards); Slayer's Rise, Isle of Conquest and Ashran name your side's target. Tabs you have edited are left alone when you switch.

Wintergrasp

The Wintergrasp tab has its own Attack / Defend switch. The two callout sets are completely different, so set it to match which side of the fortress you spawned on.

Docking

Drag the window against any screen edge and it snaps and docks there. The flashing red pull-tab slides it in and out with one click, so it can sit out of the way until you need it. Drag it off the edge to undock.

Options

/hcc config opens the settings: faction, Wintergrasp role, whether to use raid warning, the dock, layout (columns and button size, the window fits itself to the rest), appearance (scale, colours, the title crest), profiles, and a per-tab Reset callouts section.

Slash commands

• /hcc or /companycommander toggles the panel
• /hcc dock slides the docked panel in or out
• /hcc config opens the options
• /hcc reset recentres the window
• /hcc debug toggles debug messages
