HardcoreBuddy brings a practical field kit, companion guides, death journal, survival alerts, and dungeon preparation together in one addon for WoW Classic Era and Hardcore, levels 1–60.

Your Personal Field Kit

Get supply recommendations based on your class and level, including food, drinks, potions, buffs, scrolls, and emergency items.

• Track supplies in your bags.
• Set your own carry quantities.
• See profession supplies based on your skills and known recipes.
• Browse item details and acquisition guidance.
• Add custom items by dragging them from your bags onto the User page.
• Receive a notification when leveling changes your field kit.
• Plan ahead by previewing another class or level.

Companion & Pet Guides

Prepare your companions alongside your character.

• Hunter pet families, abilities, training sources, appearances, and care guides.
• Hunter creature tooltips showing Tamable/Untamable status and known pet abilities with icons.
• Warlock demon and Hunter quiver guidance.
• First Aid, Engineering, and Cooking references.
• Faction-aware recommendations.

Dungeon & Raid Preparation

Know the suggested level range and what supplies to bring.

• Dedicated Dungeons and Raids tabs with compact packing lists.
• Item recommendations naming relevant mobs and abilities.
• Guidance on when to use specific consumables.
• Live bag counts to help check your supplies.
• A Current Dungeon or Current Raid shortcut while inside an instance.

Suggested levels are preparation guidance, not entrance requirements.

Death Journal

Keep a searchable history of received death reports inside the HardcoreBuddy window.

• Filter reports by name and level.
• View character, location, cause, and report details.
• Follow recent reports in a compact live feed.
• Display themed death alert banners with selectable sounds, including Deathlog’s default.
• Adjust alert duration and minimum reported level.
• Disable HardcoreBuddy death alerts when using another death notification addon.
• Enable optional community reports.
• Import history from a loaded Deathlog addon.

The journal records reports received while you play; it is not a complete realm-wide death archive.

Low Health Warning

Get a clear warning when your health drops dangerously low.

• Large, flashing red LOW HEALTH! text.
• Air horn alarm when the warning starts.
• Adjustable health threshold, defaulting to below 40%.
• Adjustable alarm volume.
• Separate warning and sound toggles.
• Built-in preview to test your settings.

No WeakAuras dependency required. Disable any equivalent WeakAura if you want to avoid duplicate warnings.

Rare & Elite Alerts

Receive warnings when a qualifying creature appears on your nameplates, target, or mouseover.

• Separate settings for rares and elites.
• Hostile creatures and optional attackable neutral creatures.
• Spoken “Hostile Rare Detected” and “Neutral Rare Detected” alerts.
• Siren sounds for elites.
• Red screen flashes for hostile rares and hostile elites; silver flashes for neutral rares.
• Adjustable sound volume and display duration.
• Click an alert to target the creature when combat restrictions allow.
• Elite warnings automatically pause inside dungeons and raids; rare warnings remain active.

Detection depends on creatures visible to the game through nameplates, targeting, or mouseover.
