HandMeDown helps WoW Classic Era players manage gear across multiple alts by showing useful hand-me-down upgrades directly on item tooltips.

What HandMeDown Can Do

• Save each character’s currently equipped gear after you log in.
• Compare hovered items against your saved alts.
• Show which alts may benefit from an item.
• Show what each alt currently has equipped in that slot.
• Mark items as an upgrade, sidegrade, future upgrade, or not better.
• Track whether an alt already owns the item in bags or bank.
• Ignore items that cannot be handed down, including soulbound, bind-on-pickup, quest, and conjured items.
• Filter comparisons by armor type, equipment slot, off-hand type, ranged weapon, relic, and role profile.
• Set how many levels above an alt an item can be before it stops showing.
• Customize role profiles by renaming them and choosing which stats matter.
• Pin item tooltips for easier comparison.
• Hover equipped item links inside pinned tooltips to inspect saved alt gear.
• Open a scrollable item summary window for the last hovered item.
• Use the Status tab to see setup issues, old scans, and why an alt is or is not appearing.
• Toggle the minimap button on or off.
• Scan bags and banks so saved ownership data is more accurate.
