GunSilencer

Give your gun a quieter report. GunSilencer mutes WoW's standard gun firing and reload sound files while you have a gun equipped, then plays a suppressed shot for recognized attacks. It works on its own; no WeakAuras or Details! installation is needed.

What it does

• Activates automatically when you equip a gun and restores the original sounds when you switch away from a gun or turn the addon off.
• Plays the included silenced shot for Auto Shot and selected shot abilities. Classic uses ranged combat events; Retail uses player spellcast events.
• Saves your on/off setting across sessions.

Commands

/gunsilencer on and /gunsilencer off. The shorter /gsilencer alias also works.

Things to know

• Muting WoW's gun sound files affects those sounds globally while you have a gun equipped, including gunfire from nearby players.
• Some abilities can have separate sounds that remain audible, especially on Retail.
• The artwork is AI-generated and illustrative. This addon changes audio only; it does not change the appearance of your weapon.
