GuildStash

Classic has no guild bank, so most guilds keep their materials, potions and spare gear on a bank character. **Guild Stash** shows every guild member what that character is holding, from anywhere in the world, even when the bank character is offline.

## Features

- **Shared bank inventory.** The bank character's bags, bank and mailbox are shared with the whole guild automatically.
- **Works while the bank is offline.** Every member keeps a copy, and guildmates pass the latest version to anyone who logs in later.
- **Live updates.** When the bank character's items or gold change, everyone online gets the update shortly after.
- **A clean, modern window.** Search by name or type, filter by category, switch between bank characters with tabs, and sort by name or quantity. Resize it however you like; it remembers its size and position.
- **Counts on item tooltips.** Hover over any item in the game to see how many your guild bank has.
- **More than one bank character.** Tag as many as you need, for example one for materials and one for consumables.
- **Easy to ask for items.** Shift-click an item in the window to link it in chat.
- **Nothing to configure.** Members just install it. No libraries or other addons needed.

## Setup

1. Everyone in the guild installs Guild Stash.
2. An officer adds **[bank]** to the bank character's **public note** in the guild roster, for example `Guild Bank [bank]`.
3. Log in on the bank character and open its bank and mailbox once.

From then on it updates by itself.

## Commands

- `/gstash` opens or closes the window
- `/gstash sync` checks the guild for newer bank data
- `/gstash status` shows which banks are known and when they last changed
- `/gstash tooltip` turns the tooltip counts on or off
- `/gstash minimap` shows or hides the minimap button
- `/gstash forget Name` removes a bank character's data, for example after it leaves the guild

The minimap button opens the window with a left-click and syncs with a right-click.

## Good to know

- Only characters with **[bank]** in their public note show up. That tag is how the addon knows which characters to trust, so make sure only officers can edit public notes (Guild Control, rank permissions).
- The game only lets an addon read the bank and mailbox while they are open, so those parts are as current as the bank character's last visit. Bags are always current.
- Soulbound items and unpaid COD mail are left out.
- Data is only sent over your guild's addon channel, so it never leaves your guild.

## FAQ

### I don't see anything

Check that the bank character has **[bank]** in its public note, has Guild Stash installed, and has logged in at least once. Then type `/gstash sync`.

### It says "out of date"

Tick "Load out of date AddOns" on the AddOns screen at character select, or update to the latest version.

### Which versions of the game does it support?

Season of Discovery, Classic Era and Hardcore. They all run on the same Classic Era client.
