I’ve often been asked to add more features to the addon to make layer searching faster and provide more variation. To address this, I’ve implemented integration with the popular WeakAuras module, TresLayerSwap.

Starting from GuildLayers v6.1, this integration is fully ready for use.

Key features of the integration:

  • All players using WeakAuras TresLayerSwap are displayed in the layer menu with a [WA] tag.
  • GuildLayers users are marked with [GL], and those using both addons are labeled [GL][WA].
  • Clicking on a layer sends both types of requests (GL and WA).
  • Auto-invite works with both protocols.
  • No dependency on WeakAuras — everything works natively.

Additionally, this integration provides fallback options for layer switching. Even if you don’t have friends or a guild, you won’t be left without a way to switch layers.
