What's new

GuildHelper v3 Changelog

v3.6.48

Compatibility

  • Corrected the TOC interface version to 120105 for retail WoW 12.1.5.

BIS

  • Updated BIS item lookups to prefer C_Item APIs after retail 12.1.5 removed the deprecated globals, restoring gear identification and stat-goal previews in bags and the Great Vault.
  • Fixed Great Vault tooltip callback registration on modern clients that no longer support OnTooltipSetItem, while preserving bag comparisons and supported legacy hooks.
  • Report item tooltip processor registration failures instead of marking the advisor initialized.

Testing

  • Added rendered-preview regression tests with the old global item APIs absent, checking exact projected Crit and Versatility values and preserving legacy API support.
  • Added regression coverage for modern bag and Vault callback dispatch, legacy callbacks, duplicate initialization, and processor registration errors.
  • Verified all 50 manifest Lua files parse and all 69 automated tests pass.

v3.6.47

Stability

  • Added /gh3 diagnostics reporting for the most recent protected action blocked or forbidden by WoW, including the addon and blocked function, to support targeted taint troubleshooting.

Testing

  • Verified protected-action diagnostic instrumentation with the manifest parse and full automated suite.

v3.6.46

Raid Bingo

  • Players can now generate a fresh card after a round ends, even when their previous card was locked. Card changes remain locked during active rounds.

Testing

  • Added regression coverage for generating a card after a finished round.

v3.6.45

Crafting

  • Reorganized the Crafting Directory across all professions into one row per item with a matching crafter count, removing repeated item rows for different toons.
  • Selecting an item now lists only matching toons whose published snapshots include that craft, with duplicate crafter entries removed and individual Request actions preserved.
  • Added separate item and crafter pagination plus Back to Items navigation that restores the previous item-list page.
  • Updated the BIS crafting lookup to clear stale selections and restrictive filters, and revised Crafting Directory help for the item-first workflow.

Testing

  • Added regression coverage for item grouping, published crafter eligibility, withdrawals, filters, distinct item IDs with identical names, and item/crafter pagination.

v3.6.44

Mythic+

  • Fixed the timer remaining hidden on a new run when scenario updates replaced the queued run-start refresh. Run-start and reset events now retain priority during update bursts.
  • Cancelled pending timer refreshes on completion so a queued run-start refresh cannot reopen the timer after the run ends.

Testing

  • Added regression coverage for timer lifecycle event ordering and cancellation during update bursts.

v3.6.43

Mythic+ Performance And Stability

  • Fixed completion handling repeatedly rescheduling itself instead of finalizing the run, preventing the completion summary from opening and continually delaying BIS processing.
  • Removed forced Mythic+ page rebuilds during incoming party-key updates. Key data continues to update, with table changes displayed on the next user-driven refresh or reopening.
  • Updated portal cooldown labels to refresh at most once per second while visible, pausing refreshes during combat and removing high-frequency cooldown event listeners.

Testing

  • Added regression coverage for completion scheduling, duplicate completion events, bounded portal refresh work, and party-key updates without forced page rebuilds.

v3.6.42

Crafting

  • Added exact expansion skill-line capture and labels so older skills such as Dragon Isles Fishing are no longer presented as generic or current-expansion Fishing.
  • Corrected profession ranks to use the selected expansion skill line when Blizzard exposes its populated rank data, with a safe fallback while that data loads.

v3.6.41

Crafting

  • Corrected stale-profession cleanup to use only the current character's learned profession slots. The broader Blizzard trade-skill catalog can include professions such as Blacksmithing that the toon does not know.
  • Preserved learned secondary professions such as Cooking and Fishing when reconciling snapshots with gaps in Blizzard's profession-slot results.

v3.6.40

Crafting

  • Fixed character snapshots retaining professions that were unlearned or replaced. Capturing any open profession now removes entries Blizzard no longer reports for that toon.

v3.6.39

Crafting

  • Added a local Missing Recipe Tracker that captures up to 80 unlearned recipes from the open profession window, with Blizzard-reported Drop and Knowledge source labels.
  • Added native recipe tracking controls so missing recipes can be added to or removed from Blizzard's tracker without sharing them through the Crafting Directory.

v3.6.38

Mythic+ Performance

  • Reduced end-of-run hitching by preparing the completion summary during the key countdown, spreading completion-loot processing across frames, and delaying BIS loot processing until the completion UI has settled.

Crafting

  • Corrected profession skill ranks to use Blizzard's active expansion skill line, matching values shown in the profession window instead of combining base and expansion ranks.
  • Marked previously captured impossible skill pairs for recapture and prevented them from satisfying Crafting Directory minimum-skill filters.

v3.6.37

BIS Stability

  • Fixed a client crash that could occur while updating gear targets in the BIS editor.

v3.6.36

Mythic+

  • Fixed the Mythic+ timer reopening after a completed run when later game events refresh the overlay.

v3.6.35

Mythic+

  • Updated the Mythic+ timer to calculate decimal Enemy Forces progress from Blizzard's absolute current and total count values.

v3.6.34

Crafting

  • Added profession equipment capture and display for crafting tools and accessories, including item names, item levels, and empty equipment slots that still need upgrades.
  • Replaced the Crafting Directory profession text field with a dropdown built from published profession categories, defaulting directory browsing to a profession while retaining search, skill, availability, and All Professions filters.

v3.6.33

Mythic+ Performance And Stability

  • Removed portal-button combat event listeners that multiplied player spell and cooldown processing across every dungeon portal control.
  • Reworked the Mythic+ HUD around encounter-scoped, coalesced scenario updates and a visibility-scoped countdown ticker, eliminating unrelated criteria processing, hidden-frame updates, and whole-UI frame scans.
  • Prevented BIS inventory scans during active Mythic+ runs and staggered post-run score capture, loot processing, keystone refresh, sync, popup rendering, and inventory review to avoid completion-time work spikes.
  • Removed duplicate run-start, completion, summary, popup, and keystone lookup work; direct keystone APIs are now preferred before bag-tooltip fallback scanning.
  • Added automatic per-run performance capture and native CPU metrics to /gh3 perf report so expensive GH3 scopes remain visible without manually enabling profiling before a run.

v3.6.32

Midnight Season 2

  • Fixed Mythic+ portal buttons for Altar of Fangs, Voidscar Arena, Den of Nalorakk, Murder Row, The Blinding Vale, Kings' Rest, and Temple of Sethraliss by mapping their current challenge-mode IDs to Blizzard's castable portal spells.

v3.6.31

Recruiter Stability

  • Kept Recruiter welcome whispers and guild join announcements enabled while routing them through the current chat API only when Blizzard reports that chat messaging is available.
  • Pending automatic messages now retry after chat lockdown instead of calling the protected legacy chat wrapper or being discarded.

v3.6.30

Recruiter Stability

  • Restored enabled Recruiter welcome whispers and guild join announcements through a coalesced post-roster callback, avoiding the blocked roster-event call path while preserving both options.
  • Recruiter now records each automatic message only after it is sent, so a failed message remains eligible for the next roster update.

v3.6.28

Performance And Stability

  • Deferred Mythic+ completion summary, party snapshot, and sync work until after Blizzard's completion event frame, reducing end-of-run hitching and choppy gameplay.

v3.6.27

Mythic+

  • Restored Party Planning key requests and responses for raid-style groups by using the matching group addon-message channel.

v3.6.26

Mythic+

  • Fixed Party Planning omitting raid-style group members by recognizing Blizzard's raidN unit frames alongside normal party frames.

v3.6.25

Mythic+

  • Fixed Party Planning party-member discovery to enumerate the active party unit frames directly instead of relying on a subgroup count that could report zero while party members were present.

v3.6.24

Mythic+

  • Fixed Party Planning treating instance-only groups as solo, so all party members again appear in the Party Summary and Member Breakdown.

v3.6.23

Mythic+ Compatibility

  • Updated Party Planning compatibility with the open LibKeystone protocol so party members can again provide their current key and Mythic+ score without requiring GH3.

v3.6.22

Mythic+

  • Released the leaderboard specialization synchronization fix so live specs captured from logged-in guild members propagate through My Toons sync to leaderboard rows.

v3.6.21

Mythic+

  • Mirrored each logged-in player's live specialization and equipped item level into their synced My Toons profile during roster refresh. Leaderboard rows now receive current specializations without requiring a manual profile save.

v3.6.20

Midnight Season 2

  • Filtered the Mythic+ Leaderboard through the live current-season dungeon catalog. Profiles with only saved Season 1 dungeon data no longer rank, and saved Season 1 keystones now show as No Key instead of appearing in the current season.

v3.6.19

Performance And Stability

  • Stopped Home from rebuilding a full diagnostics snapshot, including saved-variable JSON sizing, every time the page opens. The Sync Health card now uses the latest recorded diagnostics state.

v3.6.18

Performance And Stability

  • Removed repeated live season-catalog and toon-summary lookups while opening Home's Mythic+ highlight, eliminating the per-member work that caused the Home page pause.

v3.6.17

Midnight Season 2

  • Updated the Home Mythic+ highlight to select its best dungeon from current-season rows only, preventing a saved Season 1 keystone from appearing as the Season 2 weekly best.

v3.6.16

Midnight Season 2

  • Filtered My Mythic+ Toons dungeon rows, tracked-run counts, and score projections to Blizzard's current-season dungeon catalog, preventing saved Season 1 records from appearing in the Season 2 view.

v3.6.15

Midnight Season 2

  • Replaced stale party item-level-to-key thresholds with the current client's Mythic+ end-of-run reward schedule, so Party Planning recommendations follow live seasonal rewards.
  • Removed the obsolete Season 1 dungeon-pool fallback, preventing Party Planning from presenting last season's rotation when Blizzard's live catalog is unavailable.
  • Aligned the displayed default score goal with the 2000 Keystone Master milestone.

v3.6.14

Performance And Stability

  • Stopped changed OpenRaid party-keystone messages from rebuilding unrelated New UI pages such as BIS.
  • Throttled audit fingerprint expiration during roster bursts, preventing repeated full-map sweeps while recording many roster events.

v3.6.13

Roster

  • Fixed officer profile dropdown helper binding so role, spec, and multi-select controls open reliably.
  • Fixed officer profile multi-select menus rendering unchecked options as selected, and close the prior menu when opening another field.

v3.6.12

Crafting

  • Expanded the opt-in guild Crafting Directory to one row per published craft with crafter, profession, current and maximum skill, specialization, advertised quality, availability, and last-update details.
  • Added searchable and filterable directory results for crafter, craft, item ID, profession, specialization, quality, minimum profession skill, and availability, with ten-row pagination.
  • Added bounded local request history with prepared whispers and actions to resolve, reopen, or delete requests. Request history remains local and is never included in guild sync.
  • Added a schema migration that introduces request storage without replacing existing crafting snapshots, plans, favorites, or settings.

Roster

  • Added an officer and guild-master selected-member profile popup for manually maintaining role, spec, item level, combat profile, secondary roles, main toon, profession names, interests, availability, and guild join date for members who do not run GH3.
  • Kept Blizzard-owned class, level, rank, online state, and public-note fields read-only, and labeled manually maintained records with their officer update source and timestamp.
  • Kept officer-entered roster profiles local to the editing officer's GH3 database; this workflow does not create or modify Crafting profiles.
  • Fixed the officer roster profile popup resolving its input and select builders as nil when opened.
  • Standardized officer profile labels, placeholders, input values, and select values on one content-relative field baseline, and moved Edit Profile onto the same action-bar baseline as Stats.
  • Replaced free-text spec, secondary-role, profession, interest, and availability-day fields with class-valid or canonical GH3 single- and multi-select menus, with service-side rejection of unsupported values.

Help Center

  • Added detailed knowledge-base articles for Crafting capture and publishing, directory searches, craft plans, materials, requests, BIS handoff, and native Auction House searches.
  • Reworked Help articles into a cleaner document layout with readable body text, section dividers, contextual shortcuts, and improved spacing inside the article frame.
  • Updated Help topic navigation to use full GH3 normal and selected button art with labels constrained inside the visible button borders.

v3.6.11

Crafting

  • Added live capture for the profession currently open in the Retail profession window. Captures are bounded to 80 learned recipe outputs per profession and remain local until explicitly published.
  • Added automatic capture when the profession window opens and a My Crafting Capture Open Profession action for an immediate refresh.
  • Added a local snapshot review state and explicit Publish Snapshot action; directory sharing remains opt-in and continues to use the existing bounded profile contract.
  • Added local craft plans that turn captured recipes into an aggregated Materials checklist with required quantities and clear warnings when optional or alternative reagents prevent a complete calculation.
  • Added crafted-item BIS integration so Find Guild Crafter opens the Crafting directory with the exact item selected.
  • Added a GH3-styled shopping panel beside Blizzard's Auction House. It displays the local Materials checklist, submits one exact native item search per explicit row click, respects Blizzard's search throttle, and summarizes matching result counts and lowest current prices.
  • Kept the Auction House workflow independent from Auctionator: GH3 does not load it, hook its frames, call private modules, alter its settings, or write its saved data.
  • Fixed disabling Crafting sharing so the current published profile is withdrawn, preserved exact item-ID directory matches when item names differ, and stopped ambiguous reagent alternatives from being counted as mandatory materials.

Sync and Performance

  • Replaced full chunk-range rescans after every inbound sync chunk with constant-time unique-chunk accounting, preventing large manifests and snapshots from becoming progressively more expensive as they arrive.
  • Reused the generation-validated local status snapshot when comparing peer tables, avoiding repeated whole-table signature scans for every GH3 member responding to a login status request.
  • Cached peer-independent manifest metadata and encoded payloads until the underlying table status changes, reducing repeated manifest construction and JSON serialization when members come online.
  • Made Mythic+ toon summaries read-only so clicking through My Toons no longer triggers repeated live roster refreshes, keystone bag scans, or syncable profile mutations.
  • Reduced Mythic+ score-goal projections to stored-score arithmetic and briefly cached local Warband toon IDs, avoiding repeated display-row construction, portal checks, and full roster scans while changing selected toons.

v3.6.9

Crafting

  • Fixed Crafting's Directory and My Crafting tab switches leaving detached controls visible behind the current page.

v3.6.8

Crafting

  • Added a New UI Crafting tab with an opt-in guild crafter directory, search, availability state, published profession/craft summaries, and whisper-ready craft requests.
  • Added bounded, revisioned Crafting profiles to saved data and normal GH3 snapshot sync, including explicit publishing consent and withdrawal tombstones.
  • Added initial Crafting service regression coverage for publication limits, directory lookup, and profile withdrawal. Live profession and recipe capture will follow in a later update.

v3.6.7

BIS

  • Fixed the New UI BIS Gear Select Clear All action failing with a nil helper call. Clearing the editor now restores one blank row for each gear slot.

v3.6.6

Mythic+

  • Added live dungeon-pool baseline and rollover detection for the Midnight Season 1 to Season 2 transition. GH3 records the current pool before launch and flags a changed live pool when Blizzard data is available.
  • Kept the season handoff explicit: the detected Season 2 pool does not reset or discard Season 1 records. Settings now directs officers to export/archive and use the existing two-step season reset when ready.
  • Added regression coverage for dungeon-pool baseline capture and rollover detection.

v3.6.5

My Toons

  • Aligned Campaigns table headers with their character, campaign, chapter, progress, and last-checked values for easier scanning.

v3.6.4

My Toons

  • Changed Campaigns progress to show completed quests within each toon’s current campaign chapter, such as Chapter 2: 3/13 (23%), while preserving the completed chapter count separately.
  • Untouched toons now show Chapter 1 at 0% when Blizzard has not yet reported an active chapter, while toons waiting for a future chapter continue to show that no current chapter is available.

v3.6.3

My Toons

  • Added a Campaigns tab that tracks the active campaign's completed chapters and percentage for each of your toons, highlights the most advanced toon, and records when each toon was last scanned.
  • Campaign progress refreshes when a toon logs in and after a quest turn-in. Offline toons retain their latest local snapshot and show Log in to scan until first checked.
  • Matched Blizzard's campaign chapter completion rules and primary campaign selection so chapter counts and percentages align with the in-game campaign panel.

v3.6.2

New UI

  • Fixed the Groups activity editor and Party/Raid and Events export dialogs appearing behind the main GH3 window.

v3.6.1

New UI and Workflows

  • Replaced stale compatibility placeholders with native Settings, DataSync, linked-guild setup, Help, and Maintenance routes, and added native focused CSV/JSON export dialogs.
  • Added Mythic+ workflow settings for keystone announcements, completion-summary timing, season archives, guarded reset, archive deletion, pre-reset export, lifecycle preview, and newest-archive rollback.
  • Added keyboard traversal and visible focus for shell tabs, Settings controls, Roster controls, and member rows. Escape now closes the topmost registered modal before the main shell.
  • Made Home priorities actionable with direct navigation for upcoming events, loot review, keystone planning, and sustained sync problems.

Officer Tools

  • Added a bounded recruitment pipeline with discovered, contacted, invited, joined, declined, ignored, and follow-up states; assigned officers; bounded notes; follow-up dates; filters; suppression reasons; and CSV export.
  • Prevented the recruiter from selecting, whispering, or inviting former guild members after they leave or are removed, with a permanent visible suppression reason.
  • Added an officer Review view with 30/90-day raid signups, confirmed attendance, Mythic+ participation, missing-profile context, and configurable activity filters.
  • Added explainable member-health and promotion-review facts for profile basics, activity, main/alt linkage, rank context, and guild-note context. No hidden composite score or automatic guild action is used.
  • Added manager-authorized attendance recording on existing occurrence signups with a 90-day review limit and an explicit retention/privacy policy.
  • Added weekly goals for Mythic+ completion, dungeon coverage, loot review, upcoming signups, and current-season BIS review, with bounded per-feature announcement throttling.

Sync, Data, and Reliability

  • Breaking sync change: bumped X-Sync-Version to 3. Mythic+ profiles now carry a monotonic season-boundary generation, and both synchronous and batched reconciliation reject stale profiles below the local boundary so an older peer cannot repopulate reset season data.
  • Added ordered, idempotent saved-data migrations with bounded migration history and diagnostics for failed or future-version databases while retaining unknown saved fields.
  • Hardened sync envelope validation, sender identity, chunk coordinates, duplicate/conflicting chunks, cross-sender session reuse, retry handling, queue ordering, federation authorization, and session retention.
  • Added explicit season preview/export/reset/rollback behavior. Rollback is available only from the newest archive and only before meaningful new-season data is written.
  • Hardened bootstrap and routing so feature startup failures are isolated and disabled features do not run their initializers.

Performance and Diagnostics

  • Replaced front-removal sync queues with bounded head-index queues and added outbound queue-age diagnostics.
  • Bounded Mythic+ party item-level caching and reduced redundant roster reconciliation signatures.
  • Added startup, roster-capture, and New UI page-switch timing metrics plus a unified diagnostics report for sync, sessions, caches, saved-data size, Lua memory, and frame counts.
  • Added sustained budget warnings that require repeated threshold breaches and clear after recovery.

Testing

  • Added a Lua 5.1 regression harness that parses every manifest Lua file before running deterministic schema, JSON, protocol, transport, session, New UI compatibility, workflow, attendance, Insights, seasonal lifecycle, and sync-boundary tests.
