Guild Finder TBC & Forever: 1.24.0
The Guild space, connected to the game. The addon, the Windows companion (Guild Finder Companion) and the website now work together. What you do in game shows up on the website by itself, and the website’s events show up in game.
What’s new in the addon (since 1.21.0)
- Guild space window (
/grpf spaceor the button in the main window): your guild’s events and who signed up, and signing up right in game (present, late, maybe, bench, absent, role, comment). - Website link: open the link shown in the Guild space once, signed in to the website with Discord. After that, everything updates by itself.
- Automatic sync on every logout or
/reload(with the Windows companion):- characters: class, race, gender, level, guild;
- gear and enchants, including random-suffix items (“of the Eagle”…);
- base stats read in game, so character pages are accurate even on WoW Forever;
- professions and recipes: Guild Finder now reads your recipes itself when you open a profession window. Profession Share is no longer required; if it’s installed, the most recent scan is kept;
- talents: your trees are read in game, on WoW Forever as well as Classic and TBC.
- Bags and bank of your characters, shown on the website just like in game. The bank is read when you visit the banker. Sharing can be turned off in the Guild space.
- Bank alt: a checkbox for the guild’s banker. Their bags and bank stay visible to the guild.
- Guild bank (WoW Forever): tabs, items and gold are sent to the website when you open it.
- Picture tutorial: 7 pages with screenshots of the website. It opens the first time you open the Guild space, then with the “Tutorial” button or
/grpf tuto. - What’s new in game: the list of changes shows once after each update; type
/grpf newsto see it again. /grpf talents: troubleshooting if your talent tree doesn’t show up on the website.
Improved
- The Guild space window is now opaque, matching the game’s window style.
Windows companion (Guild Finder Companion 1.4.0)
- Sends Guild space data to the website whenever the addon’s saved data is updated, and only if something changed.
- Merges recipes from Guild Finder and Profession Share (the most recent scan of each profession wins).
- Brings your guilds’ events and sign-ups back into the game.
- Lets you know when your account isn’t linked to the website yet, with the link to open.
On the website: Guild space
- Events: type (raid, dungeon, other) and instance, with up-to-date level ranges, including WoW Forever’s new dungeons.
- Loot by boss: a boss item can be awarded once per boss and per event, trash items as often as needed. DKP, EPGP or loot council.
- Character pages filled in from the game:
- gear with icons and Wowhead tooltips;
- stats matching the in-game character sheet;
- 3D character wearing their gear;
- talent trees drawn like in game, with Wowhead tooltips;
- bags and bank shown like in game.
- Crafters: “who can make what?”, using the recipes sent from the game.
- Guild bank shown tab by tab, with the gold.
- Guide page: how everything works, step by step, with screenshots.
Updating from 1.21.0
- Install addon 1.24.0.
- Install or update the Windows companion (1.4.0) and keep it running while you play.
- In game: type
/grpf space, then open the link shown (signed in to the website with Discord). /reload: your characters appear on the website. Open each of your profession windows once to send your recipes.
