Guild Link

UPDATE 10/9/26:   If Communities in WoW Forever have a 1000 member cap (unknown at this time), this addon will NOT work once you hit that 1000 limit. If Global Regional Chat Channels are in release, I'll switch the addon to that method (provided there is not a 1000 cap on those as well). Time will tell!

TL;DR Version - One Guild Chat, Multiple Guilds. (Greenwall Replacement)

Long Version:
When a guild has a large community to support, tools like Greenwall have been essential in keeping touch across guilds. I needed a solution in WoW Forever Beta, so I created Guild Link.

I created Guild Link primarily to support Shobek's community and ELFCORE, the elf-only Alliance guild in WoW Forever. But this add-on could easily be used by other communities facing the same 1000-member limitation.  The add-on uses the in-game Community system to pass chat from one guild to other guilds, providing a seamless single-guild chat.

Included in this add-on:

1. Instructions for the guild leader on how to create their WoW Community, set up an unexpiring and limitless invite link, and configure their variables within the Guild Info screen.

2. Instructions for guild members on how to install the addon and how to join the community in-game to enable cross-guild chats. The community invite link will pop up automatically once the add-on is installed if the character is not already within the community. Users can use /glink join to manually force the link.

3. Troubleshooting notes for people having issues.

NOTE: WoW Forever is still in Beta! I am here and working on this add-on as-needed, so definitely give feedback!  Thank you and have fun chatting with your fellow guild members!
