GuildHerald is addon that repeats MOTD or set of different MOTDs over given amount of time while you are online. I found that most players don't even see that MOTD because chat moves too fast when you log in. I thought that MOTD would be more usefull if it's repeated every 30-60 minutes, but there was no such addon. So I decided to write my own. I'm new to addon creating and now I'm testing it in my guild and adding some important features before uploading it here.
GuildHerald must be used with caution:
- Repeat time shouldn't be shorter than 30-40 minutes or it will become annoying
- Currently only one guild member can(should) use this
- It has no config, so you have to edit .lua file
To-Do list
- Make it communicate with another GuildHerald addons if any of guildies uses it
- Make some slash configs
- Add more small features
- Make graphical UI(it will be the last thing)
