Guild-Found Hardcore

A custom, community-focused Hardcore ruleset and enforcement engine for the "Guild Found" challenge.

Guild-Found Hardcore is a lightweight, immersive modification that enforces strict survival rules for players embarking on a "Guild-Found" Hardcore journey. This addon is designed to promote community play while maintaining the integrity of a true, permanent-death challenge.

Functional Overview

This addon automates and enforces the following rules for participating players:

• Death Protocol: Death is permanent. Upon character death, the addon records the fatal event, including the killer and your "last words," and broadcasts the report to your guild. You are then presented with a secure "Try Again?" prompt to safely log out.

• Enforcement Engine: The addon actively monitors group and trade activity. If you group with or attempt to trade with a non-guild member, the addon will automatically terminate the connection and broadcast a rule violation warning to your guild chat.

• Name Enforcement: A secure "Name Jail" system ensures that your character names conform to the Hardcore standards required by the guild, preventing unauthorized characters from participating.

• Anti-Ghost Data Protection: The addon uses unique GUID tracking to distinguish between new and deleted characters, ensuring that progress and status are correctly reset for every new journey.

• Immersive Welcome Screen: Upon your first login, you are greeted by an interactive, parchment-style welcome scroll that outlines the stipulations of the challenge.

The Stipulations

By beginning your journey, you agree to the following code:

1. Death is permanent. If you die, your journey ends.

2. Guild-only groups. You may only group with members of your guild.

3. Guild-only trading. You may only trade with members of your guild.

4. No Auction House. Your wealth must be earned, not bought.
