Description

A peer-to-peer auction house for guilds that live outside the Auction House. Guild Found AH is built for guild-found and self-found communities - guilds whose rules forbid the real AH. The name says it: your guild IS the auction house. Guildmates list items, gold, and enchants, browse what's for sale, post requests, make offers, and settle every trade face-to-face - over a shared order book that every guildmate's addon keeps in sync. No server, no website, no AH cut, no deposits. Everything travels over WoW's hidden guild addon channel. By default the market is private to your guild; officers can optionally link allied guilds on the same realm into one shared marketplace with a single line in the Guild Information.

Features

A real auction house window - five tabs in Blizzard's native AH look and feel: Browse what's for sale, the Wanted board of open requests, My Orders, Deals, and Reviews.
Shared order book - list an item, gold, or an enchant; every guildmate sees the same synced market. Posts, buys, and cancels propagate the moment they happen.
Wanted board - post what you need - request any item (even one you've never held), or an enchant, with a real quantity and a per-unit gold price - or offer one of your items in trade instead of gold.
Offers on your requests - guildmates answer your request with offers; the My Orders tab badges how many are waiting, you accept the one you like, and it becomes a deal. Your own outgoing offers are tracked right next to it.
My Orders dashboard - Listings, Requests, and Offers sub-tabs with live counts; cancel or manage everything in place.
Deals - every in-progress trade in one spot: whisper your counterpart with one click, and if you change your mind, back out cleanly - the order returns to the book.
Assisted trade settlement - buying flips an order to pending; open a normal trade with the seller and the item and gold auto-fill, then the completed deal is recorded. Blizzard's API never moves your gold or items on its own - you confirm every trade.
Gold or barter pricing - price in gold, or barter: offer an item, or a free-text note (e.g. "2x Black Lotus"). Filter any board by price type (All / Gold / Barter).
Professions & services - first-class profession/service orders are on the roadmap; today the barter note already covers it the same way ("will trade my tailoring CD", "paying for a dungeon boost").
"Needed By" tooltips - hover any item, anywhere, and see which guildmates are asking for it.
Presence-aware - your own orders show in gold, offline owners in gray, and a tooltip tells you when a seller is currently offline.
Always there, even offline - listings are cached on every guildmate's client, so you keep seeing them after the seller logs off; complete the trade when they're back.
Ratings & reviews - rate your trading partner after a completed deal; peer reputation is the trust layer of a closed market.
Allied-guild confederation - optionally pool your order book and ratings with allied guilds on the same realm. Off by default, officer-enabled, and trusted by a shared secret.

How It Works

A true server-authoritative auction house is impossible as an addon - Blizzard won't let addons move gold or items for you. Guild Found AH does the only thing that actually works:

a shared order book every guildmate's addon keeps in sync (eventual consistency over the guild channel), saved locally so it survives logouts;
assisted manual settlement - when you and a guildmate open a trade window, the addon auto-fills the item and gold and records the deal.

No server. No website. No fees. Shared only with your guild - and any allied guilds you choose to confederate with.

Allied guilds (optional)

By default your guild's marketplace is private to your guild. An officer can link allied guilds on the same realm by adding one line to the Guild Information text box:

GFAHc:<name>:<secret>

Every guild on the realm that carries the identical line pools its order book and ratings into one shared marketplace. Posting, buying, cancelling, and rating propagate to the allied guilds silently and reliably while you play; a returning ally resyncs automatically on login. The shared secret is the trust boundary - only guilds that hold it take part. The addon also reuses GreenWall's GWc:<name>:<secret> line if present, so guilds already running GreenWall can use the same line for both. To leave or revoke, remove the line or rotate the secret in every participating guild.

Usage

Open the window with the minimap button or a slash command, list an item, and your guildmates see it. Settle face-to-face - the addon does the fiddly part.
