Guild Assistant Professions remembers what your characters can craft, and what others can craft when you open their profession links, for Guild Assistant, so your guild can see everyone's professions and recipes on the website and in Discord.
Made for WoW Forever; works on Classic Era too.
How to use it
- Install it and log in. The chat says "Guild Assistant Professions: Loaded."
- Open each profession's window once on every character you want to share. The game only shows addons the recipes while that window is open; the addon records them by itself.
- Type
/ga-prof log. It writes what was recorded toWTF/Account/<account>/SavedVariables/GuildAssistantProfessions.luain the game's folder (the game writes that file when the interface reloads, which is what this does, or when you log out). - On Guild Assistant: Roster → Import professions, and drop that file there. All your characters in the guild are updated at once.
Do it again after learning new recipes. Unlearned a profession? The addon drops it too; log and import again.
Commands
/ga-prof log: writes what is recorded to the file (reloads the interface)/ga-prof status: what is saved (characters, professions, recipes), when, and where the file is/ga-prof: lists the commands (/gaprofworks too)
Good to know
- Recipes are saved as WoW spell ids; Guild Assistant names them from Wowhead.
- Opening someone else's profession link (WoW Forever) records their recipes too, under their name.
- If something fails, the addon says so in the chat.
