Description

## GroupNotes

You just landed in a +12 key with four strangers. One of them dropped group after the second wipe two weeks ago — but you don't remember, because nobody remembers. GroupNotes does.

Rate, tag and note every player you group with. The next time you meet them, the verdict is already there.

### What it does

**Your verdict on anyone**
Give any player 1 to 3 stars, write a free note, and pin tags on them. Twelve tags ship with the addon (Toxic, Leaver, Boosted, Whiner, Good Heal, Big DPS, Good Tank, No kick…), and you can rename, recolour, create or delete your own.

**The group banner**
When you're in a party or a raid, a card appears for every member, above the list: name, class colour, and what you already know about them. One glance when the group forms, instead of digging through a list.

**Favourites**
People you actually want to play with again are highlighted in gold and pushed to the top. When one of them joins your group, the addon says so.

**Alerts**
When someone you flagged joins your party — or applies to your group in the Group Finder — GroupNotes tells you before you accept. Your notes and tags are also shown on Group Finder applicants and in player tooltips.

**Sharing between carriers**
Everyone running the addon in your party, raid or guild exchanges opinions automatically. Every opinion stays attributed to its author: nothing you wrote is ever overwritten. The **Verdict** column shows the consensus — average rating, number of opinions, and the tag most people agreed on — and the expanded card lists them one by one.

**A tag vocabulary that survives sharing**
A tag you create gets its identifier from its label, so two people who both write "AFK" land on the same tag and their opinions line up. Tags you receive from other players are kept in a separate list and displayed with their author's label and colour — they never clutter your own filters until you choose to adopt them.

**Combat performance**
Damage and healing for the last fight, read from the game's own damage meter. No third-party addon required, and none used.

**Everything else**
Encounter history (when and where you met), collapsible sections, filters by rating and by tag, search that accepts tag names, a carriers list showing who runs the addon and on which version, sync requests for someone who just installed it, a leaver notice in dungeons that offers to tag — it never tags for you — and an undo link on deletion.

### Commands

```
/gn              open and close the window
/gn tags         the tag manager
/gn carriers     who runs the addon, and on which version
/gn sync         ask present carriers to resend their opinions
/gn lang         switch between English and French
/gn export       copy your list out
/gn import       paste a list in
/gn help         every command
```

The minimap icon does the same as `/gn`. Drag the bottom-right corner to resize the window, the bottom-left corner to scale it.

### Languages

English and French, picked automatically from your game client — or forced with `/gn lang fr | en | auto` if you would rather read the other one. Tag identifiers never change with the language, so a verdict posted by an English player lands on the right tag for a French one — only the label on screen differs. Adding a language means translating one file, `GroupNotes_Locale.lua`; anything left untranslated falls back to French rather than disappearing.

### Your data

Your list lives in `WTF\Account\<ACCOUNT>\SavedVariables\GroupNotes.lua`. Copy it before reinstalling, or use the export from the settings.
