Full Changelog Previous Releases
- Store text: four looks, on your target's nameplate
- A fourth look, Label: the badge alone; the old Label is now Label + Number
Settings sections get more room between them. - Settings: two columns, Nameplate attach section, Reset Defaults, Share with a friend
- Badge size is now Label size.
- Nameplate attach: its own section, the toggle and the X / Y offsets one under another.
- Reset Defaults (asks first) puts back position, sizes and font; look and show options stay.
- Share with a friend: the CurseForge link in a box, Copy selects it for Ctrl/Cmd+C, Whisper asks
for a name (the friendly target's to start with) and writes the whisper out in the chat box. - The window is two columns wide so all of it fits on screen.
- Drag: make the frame movable again before each drag, and never raise an error
Retail 12.x handed the display back 'not movable' (after it had hung on a nameplate), so dragging
it raised 'StartMoving(): Frame is not movable'. A position the game hides is not saved. - Ruler Scale: 10-40 px a yard (default 20), ticks twice as dense at the default
Ticks keep at least 5 px apart and can also come every 0.25 yd: at the default 20 px a yard
that is whole yard, quarter, half, quarter. - Tape: fewer ticks when the scale would crowd them
At the default 20 px a yard, ticks every 0.1 yd stood 2 px apart and ran together into a band.
Ticks now keep at least 6 px apart: every 0.1, 0.2, 0.5 or 1 yd, whichever is finest. - Tape: whole-yard ticks as thin as the others, only taller
- Dungeons hide speeds: keep the pace of the last crossings instead of standing still
In dungeons GetUnitSpeed is secret, so the estimate thought nothing moved: it stood still between
crossings and jumped at each one. Now your own movement comes from IsPlayerMoving, and with the
speed unknown the estimate stands until a crossing shows something moves, then keeps the measured
pace and eases into the next edge. - Options > AddOns: a plain panel instead of a settings list, so the Options search is not tainted
Typing "nameplates" in the Options search got Blizzard's own settings blocked, blamed on Good
Range: the search reads every list entry, and one made by an addon taints it. - Smoother and more precise: edge checks every tick, the display carries on between ticks
- 30 ticks a second, each checking only the two steps around the distance; the steps around
them are scanned when an edge changes and 5 times a second, all of them twice a second.
Fewer range checks than before, and a crossing is timed to the tick. - The display carries the estimate on at its current rate between ticks.
- A crossing counts as half a tick ago, where on average it happened.
- A guessed rate eases in over the last 2 yd before the next edge instead of running into it.
- Outdoors the standing target's spot is fitted to the last six crossings (and their mirror
image across your path), not fixed by the first one.
- 30 ticks a second, each checking only the two steps around the distance; the steps around
- Nameplate: stand on the health bar (or the name above it), not the taller nameplate frame
- Above the target's nameplate: an option to hang the display over it, with its own offset
Any of the three looks follows the target's nameplate; without one (nameplates off, the target
too far or off screen) the display stays where it was put on the screen.
