Good Duel

Don't forget your manners while dueling!

Good Duel is a tiny addon that handles duel etiquette for you:

• When a duel is accepted and the countdown starts (3… 2… 1…), it says gl hf in /say
• When the duel ends, it says gd in /say

Install it and duel. Works right away, no setup needed.

Custom messages

Want to say something else? Open Esc → Options → AddOns → Good Duel (or type /goodduel) and edit the start and end messages.

• Changes save as you type and apply to all your characters
• Leave a field empty to say nothing at that point
• Reset to defaults brings back gl hf and gd

Install

Install with the CurseForge app, or copy the GoodDuel folder into World of Warcraft\_classic_beta_\Interface\AddOns\ (WoW: Forever beta) and reload (/reload) or restart the game.

Notes

Built for World of Warcraft: Forever. The game only lets addons send /say from a real keypress or click, so each line goes out on your next key press or click after the trigger. This does not affect your gameplay, it just needs a keypress: if you're spamming a skill, it does not "take over your next keypress". During a duel that is effectively instant. Nothing is said on declined requests.
