Pick a goal, pick your rules, and Gold Challenge tracks the rest — how much you have earned, how fast, what is actually selling, and whether you have kept to your own restrictions. Built for streamers and communities who want to run competitions where the scoreboard means something.

Lock yourself down

Restrictions are enforced, not just written on the tin. While a challenge is active the addon closes windows you have forbidden yourself, and releases them the moment you pause.

Zone Locked — one zone, or a whole expansion including its dungeons and raids. Only gold from items you gathered there counts. Travel anywhere to sell; the lock is about where things were farmed.
Profession Locked — pick any profession, including ones you have not learned yet, which makes "go level it and earn from it" a valid challenge. It also decides what scores: Mining counts ore and gems, Skinning counts leather, meat and the grey junk off the same beasts, Alchemy counts potions.

Achievements

26 achievements worth 1,095 points, including a Challenger award for every expansion. Progress is account-wide and survives addon updates.

How the scoring stays honest

On a locked challenge, an item only earns credit when the addon actually saw you loot or craft it. Materials mailed or traded to you earn nothing, no matter how they are laundered afterwards — running them through the bank does not help.

Credit survives the round trips real goldmaking involves: post something, let the auction expire back to your mailbox, repost it ten times, and it still counts when it finally sells. Crafting carries credit across, so ore mined in your locked zone still counts once it is smelted into bars somewhere else. Buying is allowed, with the price deducted from your balance — so buying to craft and resell earns you the margin, and a bad flip really does set you back.

Being straight with you: no addon running on your own computer can make cheating impossible. Someone determined can edit their saved data. What this does is make casual cheating not work, record evidence of untracked income alongside every result, and give you a scoreboard that honest players can trust. For a giveaway among people who want a fair contest, that is enough. For adversarial conditions, treat the standings as a strong signal rather than proof.
