What's new

GLogger Version 1.3.4 Changelog

New Features & Enhancements

  • Depleted Keys Are Now Labelled In The M+ Log: A dungeon tile whose best run was completed over time now reads +10 (Untimed) instead of a bare +10. Previously a depleted key was indistinguishable from a timed one on the tile, which is why a tile could read +10 while the header directly above it said Highest Timed: +9. The marker is translated in all 12 supported languages and shrinks itself to fit, so it stays inside the tile in German, Italian, Russian, Korean and Chinese too.

  • The Mass Invite Names Box Is Now Your Outstanding List: The box used to empty completely the instant you clicked Invite, taking the people who never joined out along with the people who did. Now a name leaves the box only when that player is actually standing in your group, so what's left is exactly who you still have to chase and you can hit Invite again on it without re-pasting anything. Lines that failed to parse are no longer destroyed either, so a realm typo stays on screen to be corrected instead of vanishing into the log. Blank lines and your own headings survive untouched, and the box is never rewritten while you're typing in it.

  • Auto-Accept Role Check Hands Back Anything It Can't Legitimately Answer: If no valid role is selected, or your only ticked role is locked for that content, you now get one line saying the check was left for you and Blizzard's popup stays open for you to answer by hand. Previously GLogger submitted it anyway, the server rejected it, and the check was re-issued — a real path to an endless loop.

Technical Refinements & Data Accuracy

  • Ace3 Updated — 56 Files, 9 Stale Components: CheckBox, TreeGroup, AceConfigDialog, ColorPicker, EditBox, MultiLineEditBox, Keybinding, Slider and AceComm were all behind. This is the root cause of the settings-menu failure below and is the single most important change in this release for affected users.

  • StdUi Is Now A Private Instance: GLogger no longer shares a UI library instance with other addons, so nothing else can corrupt GLogger's fonts and colours and just as importantly, GLogger stops modifying theirs.

  • Library Version Guard: If another addon in your folder is supplying a stale copy of a library GLogger depends on, you get exactly one line about it at login. 48 versions are checked. This condition is invisible by design in WoW and was previously undiagnosable from the outside.

  • Your Gold History Now Records A Per-Guild Breakdown: Every day recorded from now on stores each guild bank separately, so the guild tick boxes filter the chart exactly. Days recorded before this update stored only a collapsed total; those are handled proportionally, and the estimated portion shrinks as real data accumulates and eventually ages out of the 3-year window. It is exact when all guilds are excluded or none are, and exact for every day going forward, the only approximate case is a multi-guild account with some guilds excluded, on bars predating the update. Those individual amounts were never written down, so nothing can recover them.

  • M+ Character Ratings Are Read From A Single Source: The rating in the character dropdown and the large rating above the dungeon tiles are now computed from the same place, so they can no longer disagree.

  • Frame-Level Counter Wraps: GLogger's window stacking counter was saturating at the client's ceiling during long sessions, which flattened window ordering. It now wraps and re-stamps. Window close, scale and minimise controls previously stayed on top of their frames by arithmetic accident; that layering is now explicit.

Bug Fixes & Technical Stability

  • The Settings Menu Was Completely Dead For Some Players On 12.1: WoW 12.1 removed the FrameXML global SetDesaturation. AceGUI's CheckBox widget version 26 calls it every time a checkbox is created, so every checkbox threw an error, and since every GLogger setting is a toggle, each settings page died at its first one. Ace3 fixed this in CheckBox 27; GLogger was still bundling 26. Why it only hit some people: WoW hands the whole game the highest version of a library found anywhere in your AddOns folder, so anyone running ElvUI, WeakAuras or similar was being silently rescued by their copy of Ace3. Players on a lean addon set got a blank settings tab and no visible error, because WoW hides Lua errors by default. If your settings menu has been empty, this is why, and it is fixed.

  • Auto-Accept Role Check Flooded Chat: A single, perfectly normal LFR role check could scroll "Auto-Accepted Dungeon Role Check." down chat a dozen times or more. The cause was not your role setup and not anything you did, WoW fires its role-check event several times per check, invisibly (no sound, no flash, the popup just sits there), and GLogger printed a receipt for each one. You now get one line per actual role check, however many times the game re-announces it. Two related fixes: declining a check by hand, or letting it expire, no longer prints an "Auto-Accepted" receipt 1.5 seconds later for something that never happened; and the popup now closes when GLogger accepts it, mirroring Blizzard's own Accept button, instead of lingering over an answered check.

  • "Wait Until My Group Is Out Of Combat" Gave Up Mid-Fight: Auto-Accept Resurrection's out-of-combat mode abandoned the rez 50 seconds after you died, regardless of what the fight was doing. Since almost no encounter ends within 50 seconds of a death, the setting almost never actually delivered — it printed "held", then quietly dropped the rez a minute later, often while the res window was still sitting on your screen. It now waits as long as the offer actually stands, so the rez is taken when the fight ends, however long that takes.

  • The Gold History Chart Contradicted Itself Over Guild Banks: Unticking a guild bank dropped it out of today's bar while every earlier bar kept the gold, so one screen showed two incompatible answers. Unticking a guild now removes it from the whole chart, and re-ticking puts it back. On single-guild accounts the per-guild tick and the "Include Guild Banks" master switch are logically the same action and previously drew different charts; they now agree. No new settings — the existing tick simply behaves the way people already expected. Goblin Log's net worth figure is unchanged.

  • Mass Invite Rows Froze Forever Inside Dungeons And Raids: A batch sent from inside an instance left every row stuck on "Invite Pending", counting 30 → 0 with no retry ever sent, no row ever expiring, and the Stop button staying red for the rest of the session — only a manual Retry or Clear All got you out. Every row now reaches a real status within about two minutes (4 attempts, 30s apart), and the button flips back to Clear All on its own when the last one resolves.

  • Mass Invite Now Tells You Why Someone Didn't Join, Everywhere: Inside instances GLogger was discarding every "no player named X" and "X is already in a group" message, so people who were plainly offline or in another group showed nothing but "Invite Pending". Those results now land wherever you are Offline/Incorrect, In Another Group, and Declined the moment they decline and the reason arrives during the countdown rather than only at the end, so you can stop waiting on someone as soon as GLogger knows. Cross-faction relay, the Retry and X buttons, Resend All, Clear All, all timings and every default are unchanged.

  • M+ Character Dropdown Showed The Wrong Season's Ratings: The rating beside each character was always the live season's, so switching the view back to a previous season showed that character's current rating next to that season's tiles. The list order was sorted by those same wrong numbers. Both now follow the season you're viewing, and characters with no runs in that season show just their name with no number.

  • Tutorial Mode Character Names: Names in the dropdown are now class-coloured and carry their ratings. They were plain white with no number, because tutorial mode was reading the real character cache instead of its own.

  • Duplicate Function Removed: MailGrabber:DrawExportWindow was defined twice, and the copy that actually ran was the broken one, it leaked a global.
