What's new

Changelog

1.0.2

Fixed

  • The minimap button was left stranded in the middle of the screen after opening and closing the live map HUD, until a reload. It now re-anchors to the minimap edge as soon as the minimap resizes.

1.0.1

Added

  • Minimap button. A Gleaner icon on the minimap edge — left-click plans the route, middle-click toggles the nav arrow, right-click toggles the live map HUD. Drag it around the edge to reposition. Toggle it off in the options window.
  • Gleaner icon. The addon now has its own icon, shown on the minimap button and in the AddOns list.
  • More keybinds. Plan Route and Options Window now have their own bindings, alongside the existing HUD, arrow and pool ones (under Key Bindings → Gleaner).
  • Cardinal marker size — the N/E/S/W letters on the detection ring are now resizable in the options window, next to their colour.

Fixed

  • The options window (/glean config) needed running twice to open — it now opens on the first try.
  • Keybind names were unclear and truncated in the bindings list. The two HUDs are now plainly Live Map HUD vs Farming Radar HUD, and all names fit the column.

Changed

  • Options window now shows a footer reminding you where to bind keys.
  • Corrected a stale tooltip on the Rares toggle that referenced the old bundled dataset.

1.0.0

First public release.

Gathering

  • Records herb, ore, fishing pool, treasure and lumber nodes as you gather them, with proximity de-dupe so one node doesn't become a cluster of pins.
  • Self-teaching detection/glean learn <type> binds the next gather cast, so a patch changing spell IDs doesn't break it.
  • Fishing pools are detected from the pool's tooltip, not the loot, so open-water casts and your own bobber don't get recorded.
  • Modes — mining, herbalism, fishing, treasure, lumber, dual, rare, everything.
  • Imports GatherMate2's database if you have it.

Routing

  • Solves an efficient loop through the zone's nodes (nearest-neighbour + 2-opt), with clustering so dense patches become one stop.
  • The route evolves as you play — a node recorded mid-run is spliced into the loop you're already walking by cheapest insertion, rather than re-solving from scratch.
  • Nav arrow that follows where you're actually going: it tracks your travel direction, and if you leave a stop behind it re-targets forward along your path instead of dragging you back.

Display

  • Pins on the world map, minimap, a radar HUD, and a live map HUD.
  • The live HUD borrows the real minimap so Blizzard's own tracking blips show — the only way to see genuinely live nodes and mailboxes. Terrain fades out, blips stay, and movement passes straight through so you can play with it up.
  • Route line on all surfaces, breadcrumb trail, compass, coordinates, and a detection ring with cardinal markers.
  • Options window (/glean config) with colour and thickness for every line.

Rares

  • Bundled spawn locations for Eversong Woods, Zul'Aman, Harandar and Voidstorm.
  • Learns rares anywhere else from their vignettes as you meet them, recovering real creature IDs.
  • Tracks which rares you've done this reset and keeps them out of your route.

Notes

  • Zero dependencies. No Ace3, no HereBeDragons, no embedded libraries.
  • Pin states are honest about what they can know: a harvested node is genuinely marked empty, but "a node is here right now" is a proximity estimate — the game gives addons no way to query that.
