Free up a bag slot with one click
Your bags are full, but you need to pick up a quest item, collect a reward or keep useful loot. GimmeSlot helps you make room without opening your bags and searching through every item.
It displays the lowest-value eligible stack as a movable icon. Hover to inspect the item, quantity and value. Left-click to destroy the entire displayed stack and free one bag slot.
Choose by value
GimmeSlot compares the value of whole stacks. With Auctionator enabled, it uses the higher of the vendor price and the saved auction price, multiplied by the stack size. Auctionator support is enabled by default and can be turned off in settings.
If Auctionator is unavailable or has no saved quote, the vendor price is used. The tooltip shows the source of the estimate. Auction prices come from saved scans and may be outdated; refresh them with Auctionator's Full Scan at the auction house. Soulbound items use vendor value.
Quest items and profession tools
GimmeSlot works on its own. Without QuestieDB, or with the integration turned off, a built-in list protects 3,453 known quest-related item IDs, including ordinary requirements, provided items, hidden objectives and quest starters. The list covers all quests in the QuestieDB 1.0.5 Forever snapshot across all classes and both factions. It is deliberately cautious and may protect items for quests you have not accepted.
Installed and updated QuestieDB makes protection more precise. GimmeSlot can check your active quests, including completed but unturned-in quests, against its database. Updating Questie/QuestieDB brings its database additions and corrections into GimmeSlot without waiting for a new built-in snapshot. QuestieDB for Forever is included with Questie, optional and used by default when installed and enabled.
The built-in list is updated with GimmeSlot releases. Quest items and quest starters marked by the game, quest-bound items and quest-use items linked in the quest log are always excluded. Coverage depends on the available data; if enabled QuestieDB data is incompatible, incomplete or unreadable, item selection pauses.
Fishing poles, profession equipment and known classic tools are protected, including mining picks, blacksmith hammers, skinning knives, engineering tools, runed enchanting rods, the philosopher's stone and flint and tinder.
Make it yours

Compatibility and dependencies
- WoW Forever 1.60.1
- QuestieDB: optional, enabled by default in GimmeSlot. The built-in list works without it; install and update the Questie package with QuestieDB enabled for more precise protection and database corrections.
- Auctionator: optional; version 340's public pricing API is supported.
Items of any quality can be eligible. GimmeSlot rechecks the displayed stack and its value before deletion. Protection depends on available quest data, item categories and the built-in tool list.
