Ghost Planner
Find your BIS at every level.
Plan best-in-slot gear, compare upgrades and build ghost talents inside World of Warcraft: Forever. A spectral character sheet keeps your planned armory beside your actual character. Choose a class build or stat goal, inspect ranked equipment alternatives and see where to obtain them.
Previously named Ghostward. This is the same addon and CurseForge project; update normally to keep your saved plans and settings.
Everything follows one preset
Choose a preset from the main dropdown. Default outfits load instantly. Changing gear, a weight or a talent creates a custom copy automatically, preserving the original. Later edits save to that copy. There is no separate profile manager, Save as step or Update gear button.
- Stats opens an attached drawer with gear values and editable stat weights.
- Talents opens an attached tree for the selected preset. All nine classes are supported, with native artwork and clear available/locked talent icons.
- Global Filters changes the plan's level, acquisition, PvP, quality, armor, weapon and ownership preferences. Each slot can override individual filters.
- Weight and filter edits rebuild recommended slots automatically. Manually selected pieces stay put until you choose Use recommended for that slot.
- Classic stat categories and resistance icons keep the main sheet familiar.
- The planner and its attached panels remember whether you left them open.
Class builds, healing, melee attack power, ranged attack power, spell power and critical-strike goals support leveling and equipment planning. The beta defaults to your current level through 30; fixed gear and talent plans can reach 60. Future items are reference data, not confirmation of current beta availability.
Supports Warrior, Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Shaman, Mage, Warlock and Druid, with class-specific equipment and attribute conversions.
Legacy Talented rank 5 allows 26 talent points at level 30; the level-60 cap remains 51. Left-click to spend, right-click to refund. Copy current reads your character's talents without changing them. Talent points save with the gear preset. Defaults open their relevant tree unallocated; planned talent effects are not simulated in gear scores.
What is it? Where do I get it?
Hover gear for item stats and its source. Hold Shift for comparisons and optional scoring details. Shift-click links into an open chat or auction search, including Auctionator, or opens the source card if no destination is open. The alternatives list's i button always opens sources and copyable reference links to items, quests, recipes and NPCs when known.
Your equipped and carried items fill personal catalog gaps, including exact random-stat rolls. Dungeon, boss, quest, profession and vendor information works without a journal addon.
Classic style, ghost colours
A spectral character sheet, aligned gear sockets and a small draggable launcher. The launcher defaults to ghostly blue; Options can switch it to Classic gold. Minimap access, scale, opacity, locking and positioning preferences are available. Delete custom presets with the dropdown X; recover deleted presets in Options.
Start here
- Enable Ghost Planner in your AddOns list.
- Type
/ghostplanner, click the minimap emblem or the character-sheet tab. - Select a class preset or stat goal, then click a slot to explore gear.
- Open Stats, Talents or Global Filters beside the plan as needed.
/fgp and /ghostward remain supported. /ghostplanner resetlayout
recovers the window position. Update the existing ForeverGearPlanner folder
through CurseForge; its internal name stays unchanged to preserve saved settings.
Compatibility and data
Built for Forever 1.60.1 / Interface 16001, with English UI text and item reference names. No other addon is required. ClassicUI Forever may supply its installed skin; Forever Dungeon Journal may add local source details and journal links. Neither addon is redistributed.
Weights express preferences, not simulated DPS or a universal BIS guarantee. Procs, active trinket utility, talents, enchants and matchups are not fully modeled. The catalog is a dated reference, with known beta exclusions. Changed loot, unindexed sources, bank-only items and unseen random rolls can leave gaps. Native item readings take precedence when available.
Settings use normal SavedVariables. Some earlier beta clients had a settings-load bug; no external settings helper or account-folder patch is installed. Old custom gear and weights are retained, and independent talent plans migrate to custom presets. Their original records are preserved.
