GearPlanner is a lightweight, intuitive, and powerful theorycrafting tool designed to help you build, test, and save your perfect gear sets directly in-game without needing external websites.

Whether you are min-maxing your secondary stats for the next high Mythic+ key or planning your Best-in-Slot (BiS) list for the latest Raid tier, GearPlanner provides a seamless sandbox environment to optimize your character.

• Endgame Pre-Scaled Database: Includes a comprehensive database of Dungeon and Raid items, accurately pre-scaled to the maximum Mythic 6/6 level (ilvl 335). See the real endgame numbers, instantly.

• Smart Class & Spec Filtering: Say goodbye to clutter. The addon automatically filters the item dropdowns to only show gear compatible with your selected Specialization. It checks for correct Armor types (Plate/Mail/Leather/Cloth), Weapon proficiencies, and valid Primary Stats (Strength/Agility/Intellect).

• Advanced Equipment Logic: The addon perfectly mimics World of Warcraft's native equipping rules:

  • 2-Hander Auto-Resolve: Equipping a Two-Handed weapon automatically disables the Off-Hand slot (with built-in exceptions for Fury Warriors).

  • Unique-Equipped Protection: Prevents you from accidentally equipping duplicate Rings or Trinkets.

• Dynamic Stat Comparison (Sandbox Mode): Experiment with different pieces of gear before committing! The dual-panel stat interface shows your Saved Build alongside your Current Build, highlighting exactly what stats you are gaining (in green) or losing (in red) with your changes.

• Native Game Tooltips: Fully integrated with the WoW UI. Simply hover over any item in the selection panel or your equipped list to view the standard in-game tooltip with full details.

• Persistent Saves: Save your customized builds independently for every Class and Specialization. Your planned gear is safely stored and will automatically load when you switch specs.

⚙️ How to Use

1. Type /gp or /gearplanner in the game chat. The interface will automatically open and adapt to your current Class and active Specialization.

2. Click on any equipment slot on the left to open the item selection panel.

3. Pick your items, Weapons, Rings, and Trinkets.

4. Keep an eye on the Total Stats panel on the right to compare your ongoing tweaks with your currently saved build.

5. Click Save Build to lock in your choices!
