GearLens by Flipcyde gives Retail players transparent weighted comparisons for everyday gear decisions. It shows the inputs behind a verdict and flags trinkets, set bonuses, special effects, weapons, and close calls that deserve a real simulation.

Try this first: type /gl scan, open Compare on one candidate, and tell us which explanation is hardest to understand.

WHY GEARLENS

Most gear questions are simple until set bonuses, trinket effects, weapons, sockets, procs, and whole-character interactions get involved. GearLens gives you an immediate, understandable answer for routine choices and tells you when the decision deserves a full Top Gear simulation.

BUILT FOR HONEST DECISIONS

Weighted scores are guidance—not DPS, healing, or survivability simulations. GearLens deliberately labels close calls and uncertain items. When trinkets, tier sets, proc behavior, or whole-character interactions matter, it recommends validating the choice with a trusted simulator such as Raidbots Top Gear.

QUICK START

1. Install with the CurseForge or Wago client, or copy GearLens into _retail_/Interface/AddOns/.
2. Restart World of Warcraft or use /reload.
3. Type /gl to open GearLens.
4. Review the Upgrades tab, compare individual items, and tune your scale only if you want custom priorities.

COMPATIBILITY

Designed for Retail World of Warcraft. GearLens has no required libraries and does not read private account data, contact external services, or execute abilities.

SCREENSHOT PROVENANCE

The gallery includes earlier v0.2.2 and v0.2.3 interface captures. The v0.2.4 changelog changes only the standing community invite, so the scoring and comparison interface shown is otherwise unchanged. Fresh v0.2.4-labeled captures are still planned.
