# GearCloset
## Updated for WoW Classic Era 1.15.9
GearCloset is updated and working with the July 22, 2026 World of Warcraft Classic Era patch.
Save complete equipment sets, switch between them in one click, automate situational gear changes, and instantly see how your character’s stats changed.
## One-Click Equipment Sets
Create dedicated sets for PvP, tanking, healing, damage, resistance, travel, professions, or any situation you choose.
Equip sets using:
- The minimap menu
- Dockable equipment buttons
- Custom key bindings
- Slash commands and macros
- Automatic in-game events
## Instant Stat-Change Reports
After a set finishes equipping, GearCloset displays an English summary in chat showing the previous value, new value, and total difference.
Tracked attributes include:
- Maximum Health and Mana
- Armor
- Melee and Ranged Attack Power
- Spell Power and Healing
- Melee, Ranged, and Spell Critical Strike
- Hit and Spell Hit
- Dodge, Parry, Block, and Defense
## Combat-Safe Swapping
If an equipment change cannot be completed during combat, GearCloset queues the remaining items and finishes the swap when the game allows it.
## Automatic Gear Events
GearCloset can react to buffs, stances, forms, zones, mounts, and custom scripted events. Event automation can be temporarily disabled whenever you want full manual control.
## Advanced Equipment Controls
- Popout menus for individual equipment slots
- Automatic item queues
- Bank-aware equipment management
- Hidden sets and items
- Helm and cloak visibility saved per set
- Macro and Lua function support
## Independent from ItemRack
GearCloset uses its own addon folders, commands, settings, sets, and saved data.
Your existing ItemRack installation and saved equipment sets are not overwritten. You can disable GearCloset and return to ItemRack at any time.
For predictable behavior, enable only one equipment manager during normal gameplay.
## Quick Start
Right-click the minimap button to open the configuration window and create a set.
Left-click the minimap button to select and equip a saved set.
Use `/gearcloset` to view available commands.
## Credits
GearCloset is an independent compatibility fork based on the Public Domain ItemRack Classic 4.23 source.
