GargulGearDisplay

A World of Warcraft addon for TBC Anniversary that works as a plugin for Gargul. It shows the currently equipped gear of players who roll on items during Master Looter loot distribution.

What it does

When the Master Looter starts a roll using Gargul, GargulGearDisplay opens a panel next to the Gargul roll window. As players roll, it inspects each roller and displays the item they currently have equipped in the relevant slot.

  • Single-slot items (head, chest, cloak, etc.) — shows the one equipped item per roller
  • Dual-slot items (rings, trinkets, one-hand weapons) — shows both equipped items with column headers

Each roller's name is class-colored, and hovering over a gear icon shows the full item tooltip.

Installation

  1. Copy the GargulGearDisplay folder into your Interface/AddOns directory
  2. Make sure Gargul is also installed
  3. Restart the game or reload the UI

A deploy.sh script is included for convenience — edit the destination path to match your WoW install location and run it with bash deploy.sh.

Limitations

  • Inspect range: Players must be within ~28 yards to read their gear. Players out of range are shown as "Out of range".
  • Inspect rate: WoW only allows inspecting one player at a time, so there is a brief queue when many players roll at once.
  • Requires Master Looter: The Gargul roll window must be open (you need to be the master looter or have assist/lead).

Requirements

  • World of Warcraft TBC Anniversary (Interface 20505)
  • Gargul addon
