Smarter Companions & Keystone Party Integration

PetWhistle v1.1.0 is a major quality-of-life and safety update focused on making automatic companion rotation smarter, less intrusive, and better integrated with the GameSlayve addon family.

Keystone Party Integration

• Added integration support for GameSlayve Keystone Party.
• Keystone Party can now act as PetWhistle's primary UI entry point when both addons are installed.
• PetWhistle automatically hides its redundant standalone minimap button while being hosted by Keystone Party.
• Standalone PetWhistle preferences are preserved, so removing or disabling Keystone Party does not overwrite the player's normal PetWhistle configuration.
• PetWhistle remains fully functional as an independent addon.

Smarter Pet Rotation

• Improved automatic companion rotation scheduling.
• Added tracking for the next scheduled pet rotation.
• Improved recovery when an automatic summon is temporarily blocked.
• Prevented multiple delayed summon checks from stacking.
• Added additional summon-attempt protection to reduce event-loop and repeated-summon behavior.
• Pet swaps that are temporarily blocked can now recover gracefully rather than abandoning the rotation.
• Improved handling when a companion disappears unexpectedly.

Profession Protection

PetWhistle is now much more considerate while you're working.

• Added profession activity detection.
• Detects both profession casts and profession channels.
• If a scheduled pet rotation is approaching while profession activity is occurring, PetWhistle postpones the summon.
• Provides a short protection window after profession activity so a companion swap doesn't interfere with what you're doing.
• Rotations farther away are left alone rather than unnecessarily resetting the entire schedule.

AFK / Away Protection

• Added safer AFK-aware automatic rotation behavior.
• PetWhistle will avoid automatically rotating companions while the player is AFK.
• Scheduled rotations are postponed rather than discarded.
• Continued AFK status extends the protection window instead of allowing rotations to accumulate.
• Returning from AFK resumes normal behavior without a burst of missed pet swaps.
• Reworked AFK handling to avoid reliance on PLAYER_FLAGS_CHANGED.
• AFK checks are isolated to actual summon decisions to reduce interaction with protected or restricted game state.

Manual Pet Protection

• Improved detection and protection of companions deliberately summoned by the player.
• PetWhistle avoids immediately replacing a manually selected companion.
• Automatic rotation resumes after the manual protection period.
• Automatic recovery is still allowed when no companion is currently active.

Safer Summoning

• Expanded checks before automatic companion summons.
• Improved protection for:

  • Mounting
  • Vehicles
  • Pet Battles
  • Flight paths
  • Fishing
  • Cinematics
  • Dungeons and raids when their protection settings are enabled
• Important protection states are checked again during delayed replacement swaps in case conditions change between dismissing one companion and summoning another.
• Added summon lockout and recovery handling to reduce accidental repeated requests.

New Pet Showcase

• Added automatic detection of newly learned companion pets.
• Newly acquired pets can be placed into a showcase queue.
• Showcase pets receive time in the spotlight before normal rotation resumes.
• Recent-pet tracking helps prevent immediate repetition.

Seasonal & Quest Companion Protection

• Added protection for special quest companions.
• PetWhistle avoids replacing protected seasonal/quest companions during their grace period.
• Added seasonal companion support for several holiday themes, including:

Pet Selection Improvements
