Description
Summary
FullThrottle is an aura tracking addon. It tells you what percentage of important auras are active, which aren't, and for how long.
It's different from other aura tracking addons because it's goal is to tell you what you DON'T have, instead of focusing on what you do, ultimately leading to quicker decisions and improved performance
Features / Benefits:
- Tracks yours, and others auras.
- Tracks internal cooldowns on items (when supplied).
- Dynamic aura and category tracking (see http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/fullthrottle/pages/main/triggers/)
- Lots of configuration options: Keeps from clashing with your carefully designed UI!
- Configurable bar window: Filter to only missing auras, only active, or show everything.
- Handles auras providing the same effect (e.g. Sunder Armor and Expose Armor)
- Organization features: To aid in enabling or disabling tracking of related auras.
Power Window
After configuring which specific auras to track (buffs, debuffs, weapon procs, trinket procs, etc.), two numbers are continuously calculated and displayed in the Power Window; "Power" and "Time". If you don't care about these values and just want the timer bars then feel free to hide the Power Window and only show the Tracking Window. The choice is yours.
Power
This number ranges from zero to one-hundred. It's the percentage of auras being tracked which are active. For example, If you're monitoring four auras, and three of them are active, your power will be 75. Stack count also affects Power. Therefore an aura having only 3/5 stacks will contribute less to Power than one having 5/5 stacks.
Time
Time indicates how long the current Power is guaranteed. For example, if you're tracking two auras that are both active, one expires in 10 seconds, and the other expires in 13 seconds. Time will be 10 since that's the shorter of the two. To phrase it differently, it's the amount of time in which both will be active at the same time.
You can choose which auras will impact Time. This allows you to focus on the shorter duration auras such as those coming from weapon or trinket procs.
Tracking Window
The Tracking Window is included for monitoring the state (existance of, stack count, duration, internal cooldown, etc) of each aura. You can anchor this window to the Power Window or move it somewhere else. You can have it fade over time or you can hide it all together. The Tracking Window is your basic spell timer bar but it's also highly configurable.
Getting Started:
Adding a new Player Buff (aura's on yourself)
- Right click on the Power Window to load the config (or type /ft config).
- Click on the Player Buffs tab.
- Click the Create button. A blank spell is created with a default name.
- Change the name of the spell to something real, such as "Blessing of Might" or "Power Word: Fortitude".
- Set the Stacks to an appropriate level (or 0 if the spell does not stack).
- Check the "Impacts Time" option so that FullThrottle will use it when calculating Time (this is on a separate tab)
At this point, if the buff you just added is active on yourself, you should see that Power equals 100 and Time shows how long the buff will last. The process is the same for Enemy Debuffs.
Add a few more auras, play around on the target dummy, and it should all click for you!
Grouping:
Auras that belong to the same group will show up as one bar on the Tracking Window (instead of a separate bar for each aura). If more than one aura in the group is active, the aura with the longest duration is shown. If no auras are active, the name of the group is shown. Any time you have an aura that does the same thing as another aura, they should probably be grouped. Sunder Armor, Expose Armor, and Faerie Fire are perfect examples.
Categories:
Auras that belong to categories are only tracked if one of the categories it belongs to is active. This is especially useful when combined with triggers (see below)
Triggers:
Triggers are a way to dynamically enable or disable auras and categories from being tracked. It's an advanced topic and currently experimental. Triggers allow you to do things such as:
- "Don't track Righteous Fury unless I'm a paladin and in my protection spec."
- "Don't track procs from Deathbringer's Will unless I have it equipped."
- "Only track my feral auras when I'm in cat form."
- "Don't track auras in this category unless I'm in a raid."
