Forever Session Tracker 0.1.0 Beta 1
What's new
Forever Session Tracker 0.1.0 Beta 1
First public beta. Forever Session Tracker records the current session of
each character without changing Blizzard's UI. It is made specifically for
WoW Forever (Interface: 16001).
Included
- Played time, excluding offline gaps; sessions resume for five minutes by default, configurable from 0 to 30 minutes.
- XP, XP/hour, levels gained, money earned/spent/net and net/hour.
- XP-crediting kills, quests turned in and deaths.
- Kill recognition requires a named victim and a strictly positive XP award; zero-XP combat messages never increase the counter.
- A small movable panel: lock it to make it click-through, hide it without
stopping tracking, or use
/fstfor a chat summary. - Settings panel and
/fst resume,/fst reset,/fst status,/fst debug,/fst probeand/fst wipecommands./sessiontrackeris an alias. - Per-character storage. Reset replaces only the active character's session; wipe deliberately clears all FST data and reloads the UI.
Important beta notes
This is a new add-on and it has not yet been run on a real WoW Forever client. It has passed syntax and 31 API checks against the published Forever UI source; the offline logic suite is included but the final strict rerun requires Docker Desktop to be running. This is not a claim of in-game compatibility.
Please run /fst probe after logging in, then report the output, client build,
locale, and any counter that differs from the game. In particular, feedback on
localized XP kill messages, deaths, and session resumption is valuable.
Known limitations
- V1 retains only the current session: no history, totals, charts, exports, minimap button, loot tracking or gameplay automation.
- A single XP update spanning several levels cannot infer the unknown XP needed for every intermediate level; the level count remains correct.
- A crash before SavedVariables are flushed can lose the latest unpersisted seconds, as with any WoW add-on.
