ForeverWisp 0.32.0-beta.1 · Choose how Wisp shows the way
What's new
0.32.0-beta.1
14 October 2026 · Beta; broader native acceptance pending
- Choose Wisp arrow, Wisp in-world marker, WaypointUI or None in Settings → Navigation → Display. The Wisp arrow remains the default. Switching displays keeps your guide progress, and each display shows only its relevant settings.
- Add an experimental Wisp in-world marker: a small beacon and distance while travelling, a destination card nearby, warm gold turn-in accents and a quieter marker on arrival. Reaching the marker does not complete a quest.
- Position the nearby card above its bottom chevron, then lift the whole card, distance and pointer above the ground-level map anchor. Keep their spacing together as text wraps or marker size changes.
- Keep the marker on an inset circular boundary as the destination moves out of view. A small arrow beside the Wisp crest points towards the destination, with space around the icon and labels at different marker sizes.
- Support the public navigation API in the separately installed WaypointUI 1.7.3. Personal destinations take priority; choose Follow Wisp to return to guide navigation. Guard waypoint cleanup and restoration against newer personal choices, including destinations at identical coordinates and delayed native events.
- Retain your selected display when it is temporarily unavailable and explain the Wisp arrow fallback. Reduce repeated personal-navigation notices after an explicit Follow Wisp action. None hides the navigation display while guide tracking continues; map pins and search-area shading stay independent.
- Fix Blizzard's quest tracker briefly reappearing during quest objective updates in combat. Keep protected-frame visibility changes deferred until combat ends.
Wisp's in-world marker currently requires WaypointUI to be disabled in the AddOns list. With WaypointUI loaded, use the WaypointUI display or Wisp arrow. WaypointUI is optional, installed separately and unchanged by Wisp. The native marker remains experimental: selected integration cases and rendered layouts were checked in Forever build 70374, but broader camera, movement, zone, combat and gameplay acceptance remains pending. The distant beacon and screen-edge announcement screenshots use staged placement and distances; the nearby Kaltunk card is a live navigation capture.
The eight starter guides, 30 class routes, 51 profession entries and personal 20–35 packs keep their versions and content. Your progress and settings carry over. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.
