Description
ForeverRoute — Quest & Leveling Guide for WoW Forever
An independent community leveling addon for World of Warcraft: Forever. Follow quest-by-quest guidance across Horde and Alliance characters, with a readable NOW card, upcoming guide steps and map-based navigation. Designed to make solo questing smoother while protecting your actual quest progress.
Current public beta: 0.1.0-beta7.12 — AutoQuest & Performance Hotfix (October 17, 2026).
ForeverRoute is actively developed and is not yet a fully validated 1–60 leveling guide. Generated routes exist across all 56 legal Forever race/class profiles and 13 level bands from 1–60, but route order, quest data, navigation and class coverage are still under review. Please treat the addon as a public beta and report incorrect steps.
What is included now?
- A detailed NOW panel that explains your current action.
- Compact ON THE WAY objectives along verified nearby route corridors.
- A scrollable list of upcoming steps, with Previous, Next, Skip and read-only step previews.
- Custom navigation, minimap/world map markers and waypoints when location evidence is available.
- Level-band and profile selection, with per-character route progress and reload recovery.
- Optional experimental Planner V4 for adaptive guidance; standard V3 remains the default.
- Optional, planner-approved Auto Accept and Auto Turn In; actions not safely supported by the game client remain manual. No automatic reward-choice guessing.
- XP tracking and optional local progress/travel calibration. Character data stays on your computer.
New in beta7.12
Auto Accept and Auto Turn In have been refined and player-tested without the previously reported gameplay freezes. Planner V4 now debounces bursts of quest-log events and spreads expensive planning work across frames. ON THE WAY hides stale or unrelated objectives, and duplicate NOW progress counters have been removed. The Routes menu keeps all 13 level-band controls.
These results have been confirmed in one real-player test session; special cases may still require further testing.
Planner modes
/fr v4 experimental: opt in to live Planner V4 guidance where its plan is valid./fr v4 observe: compare V4 in the background while V3 provides navigation./fr v4 off: use V3-only guidance without resetting progress./fr plan: inspect the current plan./fr perf: inspect performance counters when reporting freezes./frxp: toggle the separate XP panel.
Known problems and what we are improving next
Quest progression: Prevent the planner from leaving an incomplete accepted objective (for example, Deepmoss Spider Eggs at 12/15). Improve stable route resume, quest prerequisites and explicit optional detours.
Better leveling routes: Reduce travel backtracking and avoid recommending difficult quest chains too early (such as a level-24 combat quest to a level-21 solo player). Preserve mandatory class quests; improve safe solo level choice.
Quest data and locations: Review Chen's Empty Keg, Deepmoss Spider Eggs and Elemental War, along with incorrect NPC pins, quest endpoints, map-space conversions and race/class restrictions. Only verified map positions should be used as trusted objectives.
Modern player menu: Replace overlapping Advanced Settings with one consistent, accessible settings hub, including clearer Planner, Automation, Display and Routes controls.
Quality and coverage: Audit all 56 supported profiles and every 1–60 band in simulated and real playtests. The routes are generated but not yet complete or fully optimized as a player-ready guide.
Planned features — not yet in the beta
A Quest Atlas with search by name/quest ID, level and location filters, plus a Guide Me mode that navigates to a chosen supported quest and then safely returns you to the original leveling route. More online quest database refreshes and evidence-based route improvements are also planned.
