What's new
- Everything starts collapsed and opens on click. Bosses are headers now: click one for its drops, and right-click it for its Wowhead link. The same goes for each quest on the Dungeons and Raids tabs (click for where it starts and its rewards), and for search results, the Wishlist's groups, a set's bonuses and pieces, a profession's groups and the Quests tab. Closed headers say how many items or quests they hold. Shift-click any header to open or close every section, including the bosses inside wings.
- A Quests tab. Every dungeon and raid quest, with where it stands for you and how to get it. Open a quest to see who starts it and where, where to turn it in, its optional lead-in, every quest that comes before it in order with your progress on each, and its rewards. The Defias Brotherhood shows its six earlier quests from Westfall to Stormwind and back; the longest, Return to Bodley in Blackrock Spire, has 24. 328 of the 626 dungeon and raid quests need earlier quests.
- "Quests you can do", the tab's first page: the dungeon and raid quests you can pick up now, have in your log, or can work toward now, with the next quest to pick up under each and who gives it. Grey quests too easy for you are left out.
- Map pins. The pin button next to a quest giver puts the game's map pin, and its arrow in the world, on them. A TomTom arrow too, when TomTom is installed. 603 quest givers have a spot.
- Each quest shows the mark a quest giver would: a yellow "!" when you can pick it up, a grey one when it needs earlier quests, a higher level, more reputation or a profession skill, a "?" in your log (yellow when it's ready to turn in), a check when you've done it. It says what's missing: "3 quests first", "At level 30", "Honored with Argent Dawn" (the Naxxramas attunements, Zandalar Tribe quests, the Thorium Brotherhood's), "Blacksmithing 275". Lead-in quests close once you've taken what they lead to, taking one of two alternatives closes the other, and quests for another race or class are left out. The marks update as your quest log changes.
- Levels are Forever's own (A Fine Mess needs 20, not Classic's 24).
- On the Dungeons and Raids tabs, an open quest has a line saying who starts it, where, and how many quests come before it. Click it for the whole chain on the Quests tab. The quest's tooltip names the next quest to pick up, or the one in your log and who takes it in. Quests for another race or class are left out there too.
- Items that start a quest are no longer listed as quests, including the ones with a faction (Strange Water Globe, Small Scroll, Tattered Note, Head of Nefarian, An Unsent Letter, Shattered Necklace). Quests nobody can pick up in Forever are left out: Waking Naralex, When Dreams Turn to Nightmares, and old copies of Baron Aquanis, The Glowing Shard, The Last Element and Attunement to the Core. The live versions of The Glowing Shard and Attunement to the Core are listed now.
- Quests Forever added that start from an item say which: Crest of Lordaeron, Bloodied Insignia, the Abominable Head (Unending Torment) and others.
- New quests: Starving Arcane and Heart of Disruption in Dalaran, and Past Due in Scarlet Monastery.
- New drops: Golemsight Long Gun (Relic Guardian), Thermaplugg Medal of Honor (Crowd Pummeler 9-60), Quilrager Throwing Axe (Agathelos the Raging), Thorncursed Grips and Death Prophet Spine (Aggem Thorncurse), and Ebony Boneclub (Razorfen Downs trash). Six drops whose boss wasn't known are now on their bosses: Thornweaver Drape and Geomancer Headdress (Roogug), Quillord Mail Leggings (Overlord Ramtusk), Painwalker Buckler (Interrogator Vishas), Polished Skullcap (Bloodmage Thalnos) and Spellsever Crossbow (Arcanist Doan). Earthen Echo and Prehistoric Prism list their shared rewards.
- Data refreshed from Wowhead and wowtbc.gg (October 4). Quest chains come from cMaNGOS's Classic quest data and Wowhead's Forever quest pages. No site has loot for Dalaran, The Drowned City, The Barrow Deeps or Hyjal Summit's bosses yet.
