Chat filled with messages you can't read? Forever Language Filter helps you focus on chat you can actually understand.
World of Warcraft is played by a wonderfully international community, and public channels naturally include messages in many different languages. Forever Language Filter isn't about the languages themselves — it's about giving you control over which chat you see, so if you can't read a particular script, you're not stuck scrolling past lines of text that aren't meant for you. It works entirely client-side, examining message text only (never player names), and can be toggled per script, per channel, and per filter type — so you're always in control of what's hidden.

- Script-based filtering — Optionally hide messages written in scripts you don't read, including Cyrillic, Chinese/CJK, Japanese, Korean, Greek, or Arabic, each toggleable independently.
- Mixed-script detection — Also catches messages that combine Latin letters with an unfamiliar script, which can otherwise slip through script-only filtering.
- Spam & URL filtering — Separately blocks messages containing configurable spam keywords, suspicious URL-like text, or repeated-character flooding (e.g.
!!!!!!) — regardless of language. - Per-channel control — Choose exactly which chat channels are filtered: Say, Yell, Channels, Emotes, Whispers, Party, Raid, Instance, Guild, Officer, and more.
- Minimap button — Left-click for settings, right-click for a quick menu (toggle filter, open settings, print status). Drag to reposition anywhere around the minimap ring.
- Full in-game settings panel — Configure everything visually via the standard Interface/AddOns options screen, no need to memorize commands.
- Lightweight & self-contained — No external libraries, minimal memory footprint, works out of the box with sensible defaults.

ℹ️ Notes
- Filtering only inspects message content — it does not hide or alter player names.
- All settings persist between sessions via SavedVariables.
- Works alongside other chat addons without conflicts, since it only registers as a chat message filter.
