ForeverForge_2.1.0.zip
What's new
New: chat cleanup (Core » Chat cleanup, on by default; Walord's idea). Trade, General, Say and Yell full of politics and talk that has nothing to do with the game? Those lines are now hidden - in your chat only, nobody else is affected and nothing is reported.
- Rules, each with its own word list you can edit: Politics, Real-world news, Slurs and hate, Gold sellers and links. A line about the game (an item link, LF / LFM / WTS / WTB, guild or recruiting words) is never hidden for politics, the news or a link - so a guild's Discord link or "LF tank, no politics pls" stays. Slurs and gold-selling words are hidden anyway.
- Long off-topic lines: 12+ words in Trade or General with nothing about the game in it (no class, dungeon, zone, gold, quest, level, profession...). Short chat like "lol nice" is never touched. Add your own game words if it misses some.
- The rest of the argument: someone just hidden for politics or off-topic has their next 5 minutes of non-game channel lines hidden too.
- Never hidden: whispers, guild, officer, party, raid, your own lines, channels you made, and (a switch) your friends, guildmates and group. Role-play in Say is left alone - only the word rules work there. Chat bubbles over heads still show (the game draws those).
- Soft ignore: right-click a name in chat (or
/forge softignore First Surname). They're hidden in Trade, General, Say, Yell and emotes, but their whispers, guild, party and raid chat still come through - so grouping with them later works, unlike the game's ignore. The list is on the same page with REMOVE buttons. - Check what it hid: the page shows the last hidden lines with the rule and word that caught each one, and keeps the last 500 in a log. For troubleshooting, Show each hidden line in chat prints them as they're hidden (off by default).
/forge chatcleancounts what was hidden this session.
ForeverForge windows now stack like normal windows. Open (or click) a Blizzard window such as the spellbook where it overlaps a ForeverForge window, and it comes to the front instead of hiding behind ours. Click ours to bring it back up, or just carry a spell or item over it - it pops to the front so you can drop it (Walord's idea, for dragging spells onto the new ring buttons). Pop-ups and dialogs still stay on top.
Fixed: an item stuck greyed out at count 0 (left in an unsent letter after a mail button was used with no mailbox open) is now put back in your bags a few seconds after you log in or /reload, with a line in chat. The mail buttons also check that the mailbox is really on screen.
Your alts only get items their class can use: an item with a class line ("Classes: Mage") is never suggested or sent to an alt of another class (a mage-only scroll went to a paladin).
Full game restart needed (new files - /reload isn't enough).
