What's new

ForeverForge 2.0 is alt-aware: point at a bar and the Skill Tracker shows how your other characters stand in that skill or faction. Your bars stay yours, and alts never get bars of their own. Which characters count is set under Core » Your characters, with most of the alt switches. This addon's own parts each have a switch under Skill Tracker » Display, all on. Needs ForeverForge core 2.0. With an older core the bars work as before, without the hover.

Restart the game fully after updating (not just /reload): this version adds new files.

On a profession's bar

  • Your alts' rank: each alt's rank in that profession, highest first, with how old that read is (red when old). An alt whose professions were never read is counted as "not read yet: log in on each once", never as one without the skill. Weapon skills show nothing here.
  • Profession cooldowns: when Mooncloth, a transmute and the like are ready on you and your alts ("Brandy Mae - Mooncloth ... ready in 5h"), yours first, then the soonest. A cooldown shows only when its profession is known for sure. Needs ForeverForge Training, and none show while Training's own Profession cooldowns setting is off. Without Training, cooldowns it saved before stay listed with how old they are.
  • Skill-ups from your mats: with ForeverForge Training, how far your mats take one of your professions and how far your alts' mats would ("With your mats: +6 · with your alts' mats: +19"), what is still missing ("Missing for 150: ..."), and how old your alts' counts are. Without Training: the mats that can still raise it, held by you and by each alt.

On a reputation bar

  • Your alts' standing with that faction, each with how old it is. Alts that never met the faction are left out.

Show or hide the bars

  • Toggle Skill Tracker with a key (thanks, Nequams): set one under Key Bindings » AddOns. /fst toggle, /fst show and /fst hide do the same, and so does clicking Info Panels' new Skills item. Shown or hidden is remembered per character, and it works in combat.

Good to know

  • Only the characters core counts show: the ones you include, on your faction. Bank alts are marked "(Bank)".
  • The hover never takes clicks, so you drag the bars as before. It doesn't show in combat.
  • Core's Alt-aware features switch turns all of this off at once.
