What's new

ForeverForge 2.0 is alt-aware: Mass Mail & Trade now knows your other characters and helps you mail them what you set aside. Needs ForeverForge core 2.0; mailing what's set aside also needs ForeverForge Bags 2.0. The main switch and your characters' settings are under Core » Your characters; every part below has its own switch under Mass Mail & Trade » Mail to your alts (all on). Full game restart needed (new files - /reload isn't enough).

At the mailbox

  • Send to my alts (thanks, PlutoYork). Everything ForeverForge Bags has set aside for your alts (its Alts section) is mailed alt by alt. The queue window lists each alt with its items and counts before the first letter goes. Each letter is filled for you - To: is the alt's full name, up to 12 attachments, the subject "From" and your name - and you click SEND for every letter; nothing is ever sent on its own. When the game says it's sent, the next letter fills, then the next alt.
  • If a letter doesn't go, the run stops and says why: TRY AGAIN sends that letter, STOP ends it. Soulbound and quest items stay in your bags and are named under the lists. Right-click an item in the list to leave it for later.
  • It opens by itself when the mailbox opens and something is set aside (switchable), or with MY ALTS, the arrow tab, /mmt alts, or Bags' MAIL and MAIL ALL buttons.
  • My alts arrow beside the To: box: your characters of this faction that you include, in their class color, with the bank one marked (Bank). The last 5 you mailed (RECENT) and the ones you tick in its Favorites list (FAVORITES) are on top, then ALL. A pick writes the full name. A renamed character keeps its place; a forgotten one leaves the list.
  • One alt's Bags section at a time: with the mail queue open, a Bags Alts section queues only what's set aside for that alt, with its full name in To:. Gear goes by the very copy, so an identical piece kept for you stays. If the queue is already for someone else, it asks first: SEND THOSE FIRST, REPLACE or CANCEL. SEND THOSE FIRST queues that alt by itself once the last letter is sent (the status line says "then Kara Stone"); you still click SEND for each letter.
  • Your alts' asks: what your other characters asked this one to mail them (Training's FROM ALTS, the Characters window's ASK TO MAIL) is listed in the queue window - "Brandy Mae asked for 2 Coarse Stone - you carry 1 of 2" - with ADD. ADD queues what you carry of it with their name in To:, and you click SEND. The ones you can send come first.

Know who you're sending to

  • Recipient card: while you mail or trade one of your characters, the queue window shows its level, when it was last seen, its best profession, free bag slots and its mailbox ("it may be full" when it's nearly full), each with how old that is. It also names food, drink and potions you carry that suit its level - with ForeverForge Macros, spare food and drink you've outgrown that beats what it carries.
  • Badges on queued items (thanks, PlutoYork): "upgrade", "uses" (its professions, a quest, its level) or "needs 28" (too high for it now). Hover one for why, with how old that is. Nothing shows while core can't tell yet.
  • "After this mail" in item tooltips: how many that character has now (bags, bank, mail) and how many after this mail.
  • The other ForeverForge addons are told who you're mailing or trading while the mailbox or trade is open: ForeverForge Bags shows that alt's items first. Your focus alt never changes.

Trading

  • Trading your own character (this account or a linked one): the status line says "with Walord Smith [Account 2] - your character", and ADD queues what Bags set aside for it. The trade fills 6 slots at a time as usual, and you still click TRADE.
  • A warning, never a block: mailing or trading somebody who isn't one of your characters, an item set aside for one of your alts gets an amber edge (on Blizzard's slot and in the queue), "Set aside for Brandy Mae" in its tooltip and one line in chat.
