ForeverDB 0.28.0
What's new
Gear, rares, travel, raid nights and PvP: the biggest ForeverDB update yet. New in this version:
- Gear finder: the best gear for your spec and level, slot by slot, with where it drops or who sells or makes it, the best enchant, and pins on your maps. Open it from the ForeverDB button on your character sheet; item tooltips say how many upgrades were found. Track an item to get an alert when it's near, and a Need or Greed hint on roll windows.
- Rare alerts: a warning (screen edge flash and a chat line only you see) when a rare is near, found from nameplates, your target and your mouse; rare spawn areas on the world map and minimap; what each rare drops. A Rares page lists the rares in your zone.
- Travel: "Where to go next" for your level, "Take me there" trip plans, zone levels on the map, and flight times.
- Dungeon maps: a map of each dungeon stitched from the Forever client's own minimap art, with the bosses numbered in the client's order, in the dungeon helper.
- Comfort: sell grey items and repair at vendors (on), quick quest accept and hand-in (off; never picks a reward for you), faster autoloot (off), unexplored areas on the world map, and the world map fades while you move (on, 40%).
- Other addons: when Questie, TomTom, a rare scanner, Leatrix, GearQuest, GatherMate2, Pawn or another addon does a job ForeverDB does, you choose who does it: ForeverDB, theirs, or both. ForeverDB never turns another addon off.
- Raid assignments: load the raid code from foreverdb.net (Raid & group page, "Open raid assignments") to see your group, role and job on each boss, with boss notes when you target the boss (out of combat). "Check me now" checks your consumables, buffs, enchants and durability. Raid leaders can send the assignments to the raid, run a ForeverDB ready check (members opt in), invite the roster and seat the groups.
- The welcome comes back once to show the new features: tick what you want, and choose who does each job when another addon does it too.
- Combat logging in battlegrounds and arenas: the addon now turns the combat log on when you enter a battleground or arena and off when you leave (only if it turned it on), like it does in dungeons and raids. It has its own setting, on by default: Settings, Recording, "Log combat automatically in battlegrounds and arenas". If the game turns logging back off inside a battleground, one chat line says so: type /combatlog to log the match yourself. Open the log on foreverdb.net/replay.
- New PvP page in the ForeverDB window (Raid & group page, "Open PvP"; also Settings, PvP and Esc > Options > AddOns): honor and honorable kills this session (with honor per hour), today, yesterday, this week and for life, your PvP rank and progress, the "Renown - PvP Rank" track and your Honor Points against the cap, all from the game. Reset session starts this session's counts again.
- Your battleground history: each match's map, when, how long, won or lost, and your own killing blows, honorable kills, deaths and honor from the scoreboard, plus how many players each side had. The last 100 matches per character, on your PC only. Other players' names are never kept, and the PvP data isn't uploaded. A short result line in chat when a match ends (you can turn it off).
- Anything the WoW Forever client doesn't offer, or hides, shows as "not available in this client" or "hidden by the game right now" instead of an error.
