# ForeverBuffChecker

**ForeverBuffChecker** is a lightweight group buff checker made specifically for **World of Warcraft Forever**.

Instead of showing a huge list of every possible buff, ForeverBuffChecker checks the classes currently present in your group and only reports buffs that are actually relevant and available.

The goal is simple:

**See what your group is missing before the pull.**

## Smart Buff Checking

ForeverBuffChecker does not simply expect every possible buff.

It first checks which classes are currently available in the group.

Examples:

- No Druid in the group → Mark/Gift of the Wild is not reported as missing
- No Priest → Priest buffs are ignored
- No Mage → Arcane Intellect is ignored
- No Paladin → Paladin blessings are ignored
- No Warrior → Battle Shout is ignored

This keeps the result useful and avoids unnecessary warnings.

## Paladin Blessings

Paladin blessings are handled as a buff family.

ForeverBuffChecker does not require every individual blessing at the same time.

If a Paladin is available, the checker verifies whether players have a valid Paladin blessing instead of reporting Might, Wisdom, Kings, Salvation and Light as separate mandatory buffs.

## Buff Check Popout

The small Buff Check window is designed for quick use before or between pulls.

**Right-click the minimap button** to immediately:

1. scan the current group
2. open the compact popout
3. see only the missing relevant buffs

Hover over a missing buff to see which players are missing it.

## Minimap Controls

**Left Click**
Open or close the ForeverBuffChecker main window.

**Right Click**
Scan the group and open the compact Buff Check popout.

**Drag**
Move the minimap button.

The minimap position is saved between sessions.

## Slash Commands

`/fbc`
Open or close the main window.

`/fbc scan`
Run a new group buff check.

`/fbc checker`
Open the checker page.

`/fbc settings`
Open the settings page.

`/fbc popout`
Open or close the compact Buff Check popout.

`/fbc minimap`
Show or hide the minimap button.

`/fbc lock`
Lock the minimap button position.

`/fbc unlock`
Unlock the minimap button position.

`/fbc reset`
Reset addon settings.

`/fbc debug`
Print additional scan information for troubleshooting.

## Situational Buffs

Some buffs are deliberately not treated as mandatory by default because they depend on talents, builds or specific encounters.

Examples include:

- Divine Spirit
- Shadow Protection
- Trueshot Aura
- Blood Pact
- Thorns
- Dampen Magic
- Amplify Magic

This helps prevent false warnings during normal dungeon gameplay.

## Incomplete Scans

World of Warcraft Forever may restrict or temporarily make aura information unavailable for some group members.

If ForeverBuffChecker cannot reliably check every player, the scan is marked as:

**Incomplete**

The addon will not falsely claim that the entire group is fully buffed when some players could not be checked.

## Installation

1. Download the addon.
2. Extract the `ForeverBuffChecker` folder into:

   `World of Warcraft\_classic_beta_\Interface\AddOns\`

3. The final structure should look like:

   `Interface\AddOns\ForeverBuffChecker\ForeverBuffChecker.toc`

4. Start or restart World of Warcraft Forever.

No additional library addons are required.

## Standalone Addon

ForeverBuffChecker includes all required libraries directly inside the addon:

- LibStub
- CallbackHandler-1.0
- LibDataBroker-1.1
- LibDBIcon-1.0

You do **not** need to install:

- Ace3
- LibDBIcon
- LibDataBroker
- BugSack
- or any other dependency

## Designed for WoW Forever

ForeverBuffChecker is developed specifically for **World of Warcraft Forever**.

It is not intended to be a Retail, Classic Era or Midnight version of the addon unless explicitly stated otherwise.

## Feedback & Bug Reports

ForeverBuffChecker is actively developed.

If you encounter:

- a buff that is not detected
- a class receiving an incorrect buff warning
- a missing Forever-specific spell
- a Lua error
- a UI issue
- or unexpected behavior in a dungeon or raid

please report it with as much information as possible.

Useful information includes:

- your class
- group composition
- which buff was expected
- which player was affected
- any Lua error message
- a screenshot if possible
