Automatic enemy cooldown tracker for WoW Forever PvP. When an enemy stuns, interrupts, fears, roots, silences, or disorients you, ForeverBar detects it and shows a cooldown icon so you know when that ability will be available again.

How it works

ForeverBar uses the C_LossOfControl API to detect crowd control applied to your character. When a known ability hits you, an icon appears with a cooldown sweep showing the enemy’s estimated cooldown timer. No target selection or combat log parsing required — if it lands on you, ForeverBar tracks it.

Tracked abilities

Interrupts: Counterspell, Kick, Pummel, Shield Bash, Earth Shock, Spell Lock, Feral Charge

Stuns: Hammer of Justice, Kidney Shot, Bash, Charge, Intercept, Concussion Blow, Intimidation, Boar Charge, Chastise (Dwarf Priest)

Fears: Psychic Scream, Howl of Terror, Death Coil, Intimidating Shout

Disorients & Incapacitates: Blind, Gouge, Repentance, Freezing Trap, Scatter Shot, Wyvern Sting, Confounding Flash (Gnome Priest)

Roots: Frost Nova

Silences: Silence

Features

• Automatic detection — no setup needed, just install and go
• Configurable cooldown durations — every spell’s cooldown can be changed in-game (defaults assume fully talented / shortest values)
• Per-spell toggle — enable or disable tracking for individual abilities
• Max icons limit — configurable cap (default 6) to keep the bar clean; oldest icons are evicted when full
• Movable & lockable bar — drag to position, lock in place
• Adjustable layout — icon size, column count, grow direction (up/down)
• Test mode — /fb test to preview the bar with sample icons
• Slash commands — /fb or /foreverbar for options, /fb test, /fb reset

Configuration

Open the options panel with /fb or through Interface → AddOns → ForeverBar.

Settings tab: Icon size, columns, max icons, grow direction, bar lock, name display, position reset.

Spells tab: Browse all tracked spells by class. Toggle each spell on/off with the checkbox. Edit the cooldown duration (in seconds) directly — custom values are highlighted in gold and saved per-character.

Limitations & Disclaimer

ForeverBar can only detect abilities that directly affect your character as Loss of Control effects. This means:

• It cannot track abilities used on other players — only CC that hits you is detected
• It cannot track offensive cooldowns, defensive cooldowns, or self-buffs (e.g. Adrenaline Rush, Shield Wall, Innervate, Trinkets)
• It cannot detect racial abilities (e.g. Will of the Forsaken, Stoneform, Escape Artist)
• It cannot detect cooldown resets (e.g. Cold Snap, Preparation) — however, if the enemy uses a reset and hits you again, the timer self-corrects
• Cooldown durations are estimates — defaults assume fully talented (shortest) values since most PvP players spec into cooldown reduction. You can adjust any spell’s cooldown in the Spells tab if the default doesn’t match what you’re seeing
• There is no way to identify which specific enemy used the ability — if two Paladins both HoJ you, you’ll see two separate cooldown icons but won’t know which belongs to whom
• WoW Forever PvP blocks many standard APIs — COMBAT_LOG_EVENT_UNFILTERED, GetSpellBaseCooldown, aura scanning, and talent inspection are all unavailable, so this addon works within those constraints
