Forever Trinkets Redux

A compact trinket bar with a popout grid for choosing trinkets, optional automatic switching, priority queues, and per-character profiles.

This is my first type of this add-on, made with vibe coding to fill the trinket menu void, if you don't want to use it I really don't care about your views on AI. It has had limited testing, so some things may be buggy or may not work in every client setup. I try my best to test and debug all of my addons! Try it if you like, and please let me know what works or what breaks.

Quick start

Type /ftr to open the settings window. Hover over either trinket slot to open the trinket grid.

• Left-click a trinket in the grid to equip it in slot 13.

• Right-click a trinket to equip it in slot 14.

• Click a trinket on the bar to use the trinket currently equipped in that slot.

• Shift-left-click a grid icon to add it to or remove it from slot 13’s priority queue.

• Shift-right-click to change slot 14’s priority queue.

• Hover over an icon to see its item details and queue status.

During combat, the grid stays available, but trinkets cannot be swapped. Selecting one queues it to equip after combat. That manual choice turns off Auto switching for the selected slot.

Automatic switching and queues

Auto switching is off by default. Add trinkets to a slot’s priority queue with Shift-click, then open /ftr and enable Slot 13 or Slot 14 under Automatic switching.

The add-on checks each queue from highest to lowest priority and can equip an eligible trinket when it is ready or nearly ready. It won’t put the same item in both slots. Automatic switching pauses during combat, while mounted, while dead, while casting, or while the cursor is handling another action.

You can also set two optional per-item queue rules from Options > Key Bindings:

• Set delay for hovered trinket sets a minimum time that the item must stay equipped before Auto switching can replace it.

• Toggle queue pause for hovered trinket pauses that slot’s queue while the marked trinket is equipped.

Hover the trinket icon before using either binding. No keys are assigned by default.

Appearance, layout, and profiles

In /ftr, you can:

• Choose a square or round bar style and resize the slot icons.

• Lock the bar or move it with the temporary drag handle shown when you hover above it.

• Choose whether the trinket grid opens up, down, left, or right, and select the corner it attaches to.

• Open Saved profiles to save or load queue, delay, pause, and Auto switching settings for that character.

The settings and profile windows can be dragged. Their positions are saved per character.

Preview and commands

Choose Try preview in settings or type /ftr preview to see sample icons and simulated cooldowns. Preview does not use or equip your real trinkets.

Other commands: /ftr square, /ftr round, /ftr lock, /ftr unlock, and /ftr reset.

Keybind note

The trinket-use keybindings are still being tested in WoW Forever and may not work in every setup. If one does not activate the trinket, create a macro with /use 13 for slot 13 or /use 14 for slot 14, then bind that macro.
