Forever Profession Guide

Level every profession in WoW Forever without alt-tabbing. A step-by-step guide that tells you exactly what to do next, a recipe book with every Forever recipe, farm spots for your materials and map pins with a live arrow to trainers, vendors and mobs.

Built for WoW Forever (1.60.1). Feedback and bug reports are very welcome.

The story behind it

Forever Profession Guide started as a small WeakAura I made for myself, just to keep track of my own Tailoring progress. One feature led to the next, the WeakAura turned into a personal addon, and at some point it felt like a waste to keep it to myself, so here it is.

This is my very first project, and I'm genuinely invested in it. I read every comment and bug report myself, and I'll keep improving it as WoW Forever grows. If something is wrong or missing, please let me know. It really helps.

Features

• Guide with check marks — one clear list from skill 1 to the end of the route: learn the recipe, get the materials (mine and smelt the ore, disenchant, skin, farm or buy — it tells you which), craft. Steps tick off by themselves (green = done for good, blue = you have the materials, yellow = marked done by you). Browse with Previous / Next, or click any step of the route to see what it needs and how to learn the recipe.
• Recipes — every recipe of your profession, searchable by name or material, with skill to learn, skill-up colours, materials, where to get it (trainer, vendor, drop, quest) and a map pin. Recipes new in Forever are marked.
• Farming — every material of your route: which steps need it and where to get it (mobs with map pins, gathering nodes, skinnable beasts). Click a mob, node or material to dig deeper. Your own kills give real drop rates.
• Tracker — small, movable bar with the next step, your progress and a live arrow with the distance to the trainer, vendor or farm spot.
• Learns from your game — trainers, recipe vendors and your profession window fill in exact Forever data as you play.
• Item tooltip hint "Needed for guide …" so you do not sell what you still need (can be switched off).
• Recipes filter by type: gear slot, enchant slot or category.
• Simple view by default, advanced view for the details. Movable and resizable windows. Blizzard font, rounded dark/gold look.

Professions

Crafting: Tailoring, Leatherworking, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Alchemy, Engineering, Cooking and First Aid.

Gathering: Mining, Herbalism and Skinning — live hotspots closest to where you stand (your own faction's land first), with map pins and the tracker arrow.

Credits & data sources

• Recipe data: MetaForge — WoW Forever recipes, skill-up colours, sources, gathering nodes and NPC positions, used with kind permission of the MetaForge team. Thank you!
• Leveling routes: the step order in the guide follows well-known community leveling routes for each profession (Mobalytics WoW Forever profession guides). The addon turns those routes into steps and works out the materials and numbers for you.
• Farm and gathering spots (which mobs drop what, herb, ore and beast spawn points, levels): QuestieDB Forever data. Classic reference data: wow-classic-items (MIT).
• Skill-up colours are partly estimates; whatever you see in your own profession window always wins.

Safety

No combat log parsing, no automation, no protected actions. The addon only reads information the game shows you and never touches your items, gold or other addons.
