Forever Mouseover Buff 0.9.0 Beta

A short welcome, your own buff key, and the familiar Sanctum interface. For WoW Forever 1.60.1 · Interface 16001.

What’s new

• A short introduction: appears once per character after the update. Reopen it whenever you need it with /fmb intro.
• Set your buff key inside the addon: use /fmb bind or Buffs & Taste → Taste wählen. Keyboard keys, modifiers, additional mouse buttons and the wheel are supported.
• Keep other bindings safe: occupied keys are rejected. A new free key replaces only your previous FMB keys and saves in WoW’s active account-wide or character-specific binding set. Escape, closing, navigation or combat cancels setup. No default key is assigned.
• A quieter login: after the introduction has appeared, the settings window stays closed on later logins. /fmb always opens it again.

The buff action is unchanged: every cast needs a real keypress. Paladins get automatic selection outside their own combat and fixed learned Kings during combat. Other classes can continue to control incoming greetings.

Install or update

Download ForeverMouseoverBuff-0.9.0.zip and unpack its ForeverMouseoverBuff folder into your active Forever Interface/AddOns directory. Restart WoW after a first installation; an existing installation normally needs /reload. Then choose Taste einrichten in the introduction or run /fmb bind. The separate source ZIP is for developers.

Validation and Beta status

Local checks passed: 18 portable Lua suites, 90 Python tests, 14 Node tests, static checks and reproducible package contracts. Separate local native fixtures covered 22 action, 17 WIM and 17 chat contracts. The local Forever installation was matched to the reviewed runtime without changing SavedVariables.

This remains a Beta. Real WoW key delivery, persistence across restarts, combat transitions and broader gameplay acceptance are still pending. Offline fixtures and illustrated UI previews are not proof of completed in-game testing.

Ranking remains an optional local experiment; no public ranking service is included. For help use /fmb, /fmb help or /fmb feedback. Please report the version, reproduction steps and fixed diagnostic code; do not upload complete SavedVariables or private chats.

Kurz auf Deutsch

Neu sind eine einmalige Einführung und die direkte Tastenwahl im Addon. /fmb intro öffnet die Einführung erneut, /fmb bind richtet deine Buff-Taste ein. Belegte Tasten bleiben geschützt; gespeichert wird in deiner aktiven WoW-Belegung. Die Version bleibt bis zur weiteren Ingame-Abnahme Beta.
