ForeverMail 1.0.0 is the first major stable release and includes all improvements made since 0.1.0.

Inbox

• Added compact per-mail buttons for:
  • opening / collecting mail
  • returning mail to the sender
• Return buttons are automatically disabled when a mail cannot be returned.
• Added support for C.O.D. mail using Blizzard's original confirmation flow.
• C.O.D. mail is never accepted automatically.
• Added attachment, money and C.O.D. information to mail tooltips.
• Added warnings for mail that is close to expiring.
• Improved handling of returned mail and delayed mailbox updates.

Sending Mail

• Kept the original Blizzard attachment slots and mail workflow.
• Added a trash button to clear all current attachments.
• The selected recipient now remains in the To: field while the mailbox stays open.
• The recipient is cleared when the mailbox is closed.

Recipient Picker

Added a recipient picker next to the normal To: field with:

• Alts
• Guild members
• Friends
• Favorites

Additional improvements:

• Full WoW Forever character names with first and last name are supported.
• Known characters are displayed in their class colors.
• Online and offline status is shown with status icons.
• The currently logged-in character is hidden from the guild list.
• Added recipient search.
• Added favorites with star icons.
• Improved guild roster loading and caching.

Mail History

Added a local mail history for both received and sent mail.

History entries can contain:

• Character
• Sender / recipient
• Date and time
• Subject
• Attachments
• Money
• C.O.D.
• Collection time for received mail
• Returned-mail status

Additional history features:

• Separate Received and Sent views.
• Filter by the current character, another known alt, or all characters.
• The current character is selected automatically when opening the history.
• Search by subject and contents.
• Sort by clicking table headers.
• Ascending and descending sorting.
• Localized date formatting:
  • German: 03.10.2026 15:15
  • English: 2026-10-03 15:15
• Resizable SharedUI history window.
• Table columns grow with the window.
• Window size and position are saved.
• Character names are displayed in class colors.

Item History

• Mail attachments are stored using item IDs instead of localized item names.
• Item names are resolved using the current client language.
• Added item icons to history entries.
• Added original WoW item tooltips on mouseover.
• Item search works using the currently localized item names.
• Existing older history entries remain compatible.

Returned Mail

• Improved detection of returned mail.
• Returned mail is tracked separately from collected mail.
• Multiple mail actions can now be tracked at the same time.
• Older Unknown history entries can be corrected when a returned mail can later be identified.
• Improved handling of delayed WoW Forever mailbox updates.

History Access

Mail history can now be opened without visiting a mailbox:

• Added a Minimap button.
• Added a LibDataBroker launcher when LibDataBroker-1.1 is available.
• Added a history button directly to the Blizzard MailFrame.

User Interface

• Mail history now uses SharedUI.
• Added the ForeverMail version to the history window.
• Replaced text placeholders with proper icon textures where required.
