What's new

Forever Loremaster 0.13.9

ForeverQuestLoot is now Forever Loremaster. Same addon and same author (Akira TheRealOne), with a new name and a completely new look.

New modern dark GUI

  • Charcoal window with a gold border, pill tabs with icons (Loot, Quests, Dungeons, Mounts, Wishlist, Modules), and a status bar with live counters.
  • Filters sidebar: class, armor type, level (with "Me") and a Window / Exact level mode, search, slot, and Hide Classic.
  • Loot table: the real in-game icon for every item with a rarity-coloured border, Lvl (red when the item is above your level), Stats, Zone + coordinates, Source (a Quest chip jumps to the quest), plus a wishlist star and a Track switch on every row.
  • All stats at a glance: primary stats, DPS, Armor and equip effects such as SP, Heal, Crit, Spell Crit, Hit, MP5, AP, Defense, school damage and resistances. Chips wrap over 2 lines; hover the "+N" chip for the full list. Sort by any stat: the small arrow in the Stats header opens a grouped stat menu (Total, Primary, Offense, Defense, Other); click Stats to flip high/low.
  • New Wishlist tab: all your starred items in one place. Stars stay separate from Track.
  • Headers and columns stay aligned on every tab, also after resizing the window. Long lists scroll smoothly.

New in 0.13.9

  • Zone Ledger (new module, off by default): your own quest tracker on the right side of the screen, with your quests grouped by zone just like the quest log. Click a zone header ([+] / [-]) to collapse or expand it; it stays that way after a reload. Each quest shows [level] title in its difficulty colour, its objectives with progress, and Complete when it's done. Click a quest to open it in the quest log, Shift+click to watch or unwatch it. Drag the header to move the tracker; switch between All and Tracked quests, or minimize it. Your current zone moves to the top and opens when you arrive. While Zone Ledger is on, it hides the game's own quest tracker; turn the module off and the default tracker comes back. Turn it on in the Modules tab, the options page or with /q ledger on (more: /q ledger).
  • Dungeons: back to your last dungeon. After "All dungeons", a "< Back to <dungeon>" button in the dungeon list takes you straight back to the loot per boss of the dungeon you opened last, also after a /reload. Rows now show a small "Loot >" hint, and the tooltip says "Click: show loot per boss", so it's clear a row opens its loot.
  • Stat sorting fix: sorting on Hit, Crit, spell power, healing, MP5, attack power or resistances only ranked the items you had already scrolled past. The addon now reads these stats for the whole list first and then sorts.
  • "No items with Hit in this selection": when you sort on a stat that no item in the current list has (common at low level), a short line above the list says so, instead of the sort looking broken.
  • Minimap button now starts on the left side of the minimap (due west). If you already moved it, it stays where you put it.

New in 0.13.8

  • Search everything: one search box in the title bar for items, bosses, dungeons, quests and mounts. Small typos are fine. Suggestions appear while you type; Up/Down or Tab to choose, Enter to open it in the right tab.
  • Back / Forward buttons to step through the views you opened.
  • Clickable links in chat: item, boss, quest and zone links from Forever Loremaster open the right tab and row.
  • Item tooltips: one extra line with where it drops (boss + dungeon), a star when it's on your wishlist, and "quest reward".
  • Zone arrival hint: when you arrive in a zone (or land from a flight), one chat line like "here: 3 wishlist drops, 1 mount [Show] [PathArrow]". Once per zone, never in combat, and off with one switch in Modules.
  • Key bindings (window, PathArrow, Track, Wishlist, Search), an options page under Options > AddOns, and an addon compartment entry where your client has one.
  • Update notice: if someone in your group or guild runs a newer version, you get one chat line. Only the version number is shared.
  • What's new line after each update, with a small in-game changelog (/flm whatsnew).
  • Fixes: tooltip lines from GearScale, BidLedger and PlayerNotes could show twice or not at all on some clients; WishAlarm is faster. If another addon also uses /q, you get a warning; /flm and /loremaster always work.
  • /flm qa runs a built-in self-test and prints pass/fail.

New in 0.13.7

  • Stats menu: the small arrow in the Stats header (or right-click) opens a list of every stat in the item data, grouped into Total, Primary, Offense, Defense and Other, with a check mark on the active one. Pick one to sort high first; Shift+pick adds it as the 2nd sort. A plain click on Stats flips high/low.
  • Total stats (Str + Agi + Sta + Int + Spi) as a sort option.
  • Minimap button: left-click opens/closes the window, right-click opens Modules, drag moves it around the minimap. Turn it off with "Show minimap button" in the Modules tab.

New in 0.13.6

  • Window opacity only fades backgrounds on every tab: text, icons, borders, badges and switches stay fully visible (quests in other zones are no longer semi-transparent).
  • Quest info is a hover tooltip (level, giver, location, rewards). It hides when you move away, click, switch tabs, scroll or close the window; it no longer sticks at the top of the window. A click selects the quest and sets the map pin + waypoint.
  • Sorting fixed in every column: Zone sorts by zone name (then boss), not by distance. Rows with a value always come first and empty values ("-") always last, in both directions, on every tab. Near: yards first, then "zone", then "-". The subtitle names the real column.
  • Level mode (Loot filters): below the Lvl box, switch between Window (required level -5 to +3, e.g. "Lvl 9-17 window", default) and Exact (only that required level, e.g. "Lvl 14 only").

Sorting: one or two columns (new in 0.13.4)

  • Click a column header to sort; click again to flip it. Works on every tab (Loot, Wishlist, Quests, Dungeons, Mounts and a dungeon's loot view).
  • Shift+click a second header to sort within the first, e.g. Lvl, then Stats. A gold 1 and 2 next to the sort arrows and a thin gold line above the headers show the two active columns, with "Sorted by Lvl › Stats".
  • Click any header normally, or press the small x, to go back to one column. Shift+clicking a third column replaces the second one. Each tab remembers its own sort.
  • Don't want it? Turn off "Two-column sorting (Shift+click)" in the Modules tab; Shift+click then acts like a normal click.

Window opacity (new in 0.13.4)

  • "Window opacity" slider in the Modules tab (30-100%). Only the backgrounds fade, so text, icons, borders and chips stay sharp and readable. Changes live while you drag.

Quests per faction, with a clear location (0.13.3)

  • You only see quests for your own faction, race and class (Skyborne included), never the other side's. If the game hasn't reported your faction yet, the list waits instead of showing both.
  • Every quest shows Zone › Subzone x, y and the giver / turn-in NPC. Click a quest for a map pin and waypoint; Near shows the distance in yards. Coordinates in Stormwind, Redridge and Mulgore are converted to the Forever map with Blizzard's own map data.

Loot data (0.13.2)

  • Item data rebuilt from the latest Forever client: about 14,800 items. Items whose Forever data is still encrypted show Classic names/stats with a Placeholder badge (hidden with "Hide Classic").
  • Boss / instance sources for about 2,200 items (AtlasLoot Continued, GPLv2), marked as Classic data not yet confirmed in Forever. Dungeons tab: loot per boss.

Data provenance (0.13.5)

  • Quest rewards are shown only from Wowhead Forever beta data (64 quests + 18 dungeon quests); other quests show "Rewards not confirmed". No third-party addon data (e.g. Questie) is included.

License & credits

  • Forever Loremaster is now open source under the GNU GPL v2 or later (see LICENSE). Loot source data comes from AtlasLootClassic Continued (Okrah, Lag, Hoizame; GPLv2) — thank you! Quest data provenance is listed in the README.

Fixes

  • The Off Hand slot filter now includes Held In Off-hand items, off-hand weapons and (for dual-wield classes) one-hand weapons. Shield is a separate option, and the slot menu only lists slots your class can use.
  • Item quality colours are read correctly. Stat chips no longer overlap the Zone column, and the sort arrows no longer show as a missing-glyph box.
  • Quests and Dungeons: the repeated "Forever UNCERTAIN." text is replaced by a small Unverified badge and one explanation in the header: quest data is based on Classic + Forever beta (Wowhead, 2026-09-28). Blizzard confirmed that Forever quests and rewards can differ, so entries stay Unverified until they are confirmed in Forever. Report differences with /q report or here on CurseForge.
  • GearScale now works for weapons and shields.

Upgrading from ForeverQuestLoot (please read)

  1. Close WoW.
  2. Delete (or move) the old folder Interface\AddOns\ForeverQuestLoot, so the game doesn't load both.
  3. Install ForeverLoremaster (the CurseForge app does this for you).
  4. To keep your settings, stars and tracks, copy WTF\Account\<ACCOUNT>\SavedVariables\ForeverQuestLoot.lua to ForeverLoremaster.lua in the same folder. On first login, Forever Loremaster migrates everything automatically and prints a confirmation in chat. If you skip this step, the addon starts with fresh default settings.
  5. Commands: /q still works. New: /flm, /loremaster, /q wishlist, /q report.
