Forever Language Filter

Forever Language Filter is a lightweight addon for WoW Forever that helps clean up public chat by hiding messages written in languages or writing systems you do not want to see.

Perfect for busy channels where several languages are mixed together.

Features

Each filter can be enabled or disabled independently.

By default, nothing is filtered.

Smart Detection

Latin languages such as English, German, French, and Spanish are detected using a lightweight scoring system based on common words and language-specific patterns.

Detection is intentionally conservative, so short or ambiguous messages are less likely to be hidden by mistake.

Non-Latin scripts such as Cyrillic, CJK, Hangul, and Arabic are detected directly from the characters used, making these filters especially reliable.

Public Channels and all the others

The addon filters numbered public channels such as:

• /1 General
• /2 Trade
• /3 Local Defense
• other numbered channels

And can also filters other channels if desired, such as guild, party, raid, and whisper messages.

Commands

/flf
Open the settings window.

/langfilter
Alternative command for opening the settings.

/flf debug
Toggle detection debug information.

With /flf you can see what messages have been filtered.
