Forever Fishing

A complete, lightweight fishing companion built specifically for World of Warcraft: Forever.

Forever Fishing brings the whole fishing experience together in one clean addon, with full one button fishing, advanced camera assisted bobber finding, automatic gear and lure handling, detailed fishing statistics, a Catch Journal, and a complete Forever Fishing Field Guide.

A lot of time, testing and care has gone into making Forever Fishing reliable, intuitive, and packed with useful features without becoming bloated. Its smarter systems are carefully designed around WoW’s limitations while staying within Blizzard’s addon rules, with protected gameplay actions always remaining player controlled.

Development is ongoing, with further camera scanning refinements and other improvements still being made. Bug reports, feedback, and suggestions are always welcome and help make Forever Fishing better for everyone.

*First Public Release*
This is the first public release of Forever Fishing. WoW Forever updates may occasionally introduce unexpected bugs, but reported issues will be investigated and patched as quickly as possible.

Features

Full One Button Fishing
Use one chosen key or mouse input for the whole fishing flow. Forever Fishing can prepare your fishing gear, apply or refresh your lure, cast, and then use the same input to hook your catch when the bobber splashes.

Advanced Camera Assisted Fishing
Smart camera adjustment learns from previous bobber locations at your current fishing spot, helping future searches begin from a better position. Tested across a wide range of fishing heights, Forever Fishing can quickly locate difficult or distant bobbers without requiring extreme camera zoom out.

Smart Gear Manager
Automatically detects fishing gear and lets you quickly fine-tune your setup with drag-and-drop controls. Supports dual spec and multiple Equipment Manager sets, remembers what fishing replaced, and restores the correct gear for your current spec. Auto Restore Gear can return your normal equipment when the fishing bar closes.

Smart Lure Management
Automatically use the best available lure or keep your preferred lure selected, refresh expired lures as part of the fishing flow and get clear visual feedback when your lure needs attention.

Catch Journal and Detailed Statistics
Keep a permanent record of your catches and fishing locations, with detailed session and lifetime statistics including fishing time, casts, catches, success rate, catches per hour, average catch time, unique catches, item records, location records, and more.

Forever Fishing Field Guide
A curated WoW Forever fishing guide covering Fishing 1 to 300, training routes, recipes and profession camps, fishing gear and skill items, tournament rewards, rare catches, and other useful Forever fishing information.

Fishing Alerts and Background Support
Make the bobber splash easier to hear, keep game audio active while using another window, and enable optional reminders when Forever Fishing needs your attention.

Flexible Fishing Controls
Mouse Wheel Down is the default fishing input, but you can choose another key or mouse input instead. Optional double right click fishing is also available, and your fishing binding is only active while the fishing bar is open.

Tip: A keyboard binding can be useful if you want to keep your mouse still while fishing.

Polished Forever UI
Compact fishing controls, movable and scalable windows, dedicated Journal and Settings interfaces, custom icons and a visual style designed to fit naturally into WoW Forever.

Automatic Fishing Bar
Equip a fishing rod and Forever Fishing can automatically open the fishing controls, ready to use.

Getting Started

Equip a fishing rod and the Forever Fishing controls will open automatically.

You can also type /fish or click the minimap icon at any time.

Choose your preferred fishing input and use the same button to prepare, cast, and hook.

Important: Forever Fishing does not automatically catch fish. Press your fishing binding when the bobber splashes to hook your catch. Protected actions always remain player controlled and within Blizzard’s addon rules.

Forever Addon Family

Forever Fishing is part of the Forever Addon family. A lightweight, focused addons that work independently while sharing a consistent interface and launcher system.

Forever Fishing includes its own minimap launcher. When other Forever addons by Hamish336 are installed, they automatically combine into one shared Forever Addon menu to reduce minimap clutter, whilst also remaining compatible with common minimap button organisers.
