Forever Duels (ELO & Tournaments)

This addon is in beta: a rating or an ELO may not work as it should yet. We are going to build the best addon for rated duels.

WoW: Forever has no arenas for now, so let's rate the duels ourselves.

Forever Duels turns the duels you already fight into rated duels: an arena ladder, one against one. Everybody with the addon starts at 1500 ELO. Beat somebody rated above you and you climb fast; beat somebody far below and you gain almost nothing. Who is the best druid in duels? The best mage? Now there is a list.

Who's the best duelist on your realm?

There is nothing to set up and nothing to type. Duel as you always do: the addon of each player announces its own result with a hidden message and, when the two agree, the duel is recorded for everybody.

What it brings

• ELO by talent tree and level bracket, read from your Forever talents (the tree with the most points). Six ranks, from Aspirant to Gladiator.
• Rankings: everybody, by class, by talent tree, by race and of guilds. And the meta: how each class does against the others.

Climb the ladder. Season 1 starts at launch.

• Rival card when somebody challenges you, a VS screen on the countdown and the result with the points that moved.

Every duel counts.

• Profile and history of every duel, and a page of statistics with charts you can touch: ELO over time, win rate against each class, your best hours, rivals, places and records (rated, practice and no-addon duels apart).

Know your matchups. Works from your first duel.

• Live channels: Twitch, YouTube, Kick and TikTok on your profile, your VS screen and your panel for streams, with "LIVE" in red while you stream.

• Looking for a duel: one click and the players near you know. Where the duels are: the busiest spots right now.
• Tournaments in nine formats: league, Swiss, World Cup with groups, single and double elimination, king of the hill, ladder, by classes and team relay. A creation screen that explains every option and shows you the tournament before you create it. Password, administrators, bans, a random draw that every addon checks, and everything automatic: start, walkovers, closing.

• Predictions on tournament matches (for points, no gold) and a trophy case with 22 cups.
• 147 achievements, a coin called Glory that you earn by playing, and a shop with almost 300 things for your profile: icons, frames, backgrounds, themes, victory effects, titles. Nothing in it changes how a duel is fought.
• Rivals, guild wars and a weekly chronicle.
• Horde, Alliance and Combat themes, and more to earn.

Good to know

• Both players need the addon for a duel to be rated. Against somebody without it, the duel is kept in your own history and does not move ELO.
• No server and no website. The addons talk to each other inside the game, between players of the same realm and faction.
• It never writes in chat and never whispers. It never challenges, accepts or declines for you.
• In a spot full of duels, a duel is recorded once, however many players see it.
• Made for worldwide realms. Names in Russian, Chinese or Korean letters are shown as they are written, a duel counts whatever the language of each player's game, and places are told apart by the map, so "near you" works between all languages.
• Eight languages, following your game: English and Spanish, written by hand, and German, French, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian and Chinese (simplified and traditional), fully translated with the official WoW names. The in-game Guide stays in English in those five until the next version. Native speakers: corrections are very welcome.

At the top right of the window there are two buttons, on every page: Report your bug (the blue beetle) and Give us your feedback (the suggestion box). Tell us what failed and what you would change. The addon also notes its own errors, without names, so we know what to fix first.

En WoW: Forever no hay arenas de momento, así que vamos a ratear nosotros los duelos.

Forever Duels convierte los duelos de siempre en duelos puntuados: una clasificación de arenas, pero uno contra uno. Todo el que tenga el addon empieza con 1500 de ELO. Si ganas a alguien con mucho más ELO que tú, subes deprisa; si ganas a alguien muy por debajo, casi no sumas. ¿Quién es el mejor druida en duelos? ¿El mejor mago? Ahora hay una lista.

No hay nada que configurar ni nada que escribir. Haz tus duelos como siempre: el addon de cada jugador anuncia su propio resultado con un mensaje oculto y, cuando los dos coinciden, el duelo queda apuntado para todos.

Qué trae

• ELO por árbol de talentos y tramo de nivel, leído de tus talentos de Forever (el árbol con más puntos). Seis rangos, de Aspirante a Gladiador.
• Clasificaciones: general, por clase, por árbol de talentos, por raza y de hermandades. Y el meta: cómo le va a cada clase contra las demás.
• Ficha del rival cuando alguien te reta, pantalla VS en la cuenta atrás y el resultado con los puntos que se han movido.
• Perfil e historial de todos tus duelos, y una página de estadísticas con gráficos que se pueden tocar: ELO en el tiempo, % contra cada clase, tus mejores horas, rivales, sitios y récords (puntuables, de entreno y sin addon por separado).
• Canales de directo: Twitch, YouTube, Kick y TikTok en tu perfil, en tu pantalla VS y en tu panel para directos, con «EN DIRECTO» en rojo mientras emites.
• Busco duelo: un clic y los jugadores de tu alrededor lo saben. Dónde hay duelos: los sitios con más movimiento ahora mismo.
• Torneos con nueve formatos: liga, suizo, mundial con fase de grupos, eliminatoria simple y doble, rey de la pista, escalera, por clases y relevos por equipos. Una pantalla de creación que explica cada opción y te enseña el torneo antes de crearlo. Contraseña, administradores, vetos, sorteo al azar que comprueban todos los addons, y todo automático: el inicio, los W.O. y el cierre.
• Porra en los cruces de torneo (por puntos, sin oro) y una vitrina con 22 copas.
• 147 logros, una moneda llamada Gloria que se gana jugando y una tienda con casi 300 cosas para tu perfil: iconos, marcos, fondos, temas, efectos de victoria, títulos. Nada de la tienda cambia cómo se pelea un duelo.
• Rivales, guerras de hermandades y una crónica semanal.
• Temas de Horda, Alianza y Combate, y más por ganar.

Conviene saber

• Los dos jugadores tienen que tener el addon para que un duelo puntúe. Contra alguien que no lo tiene, el duelo se guarda en tu historial y no mueve el ELO.
• Sin servidor y sin webs. Los addons se hablan dentro del juego, entre jugadores del mismo reino y facción.
• Nunca escribe en el chat ni susurra. Nunca reta, acepta ni rechaza por ti.
• En una zona llena de duelos, un duelo se apunta una sola vez, lo vean los jugadores que lo vean.
• Pensado para el servidor mundial. Los nombres en letras rusas, chinas o coreanas se ven tal como se escriben, un duelo cuenta sea cual sea el idioma del juego de cada jugador, y los sitios se distinguen por el mapa, así que «cerca de ti» funciona entre todos los idiomas.
• Ocho idiomas, según tu juego: español e inglés, escritos a mano, y alemán, francés, portugués de Brasil, ruso y chino (simplificado y tradicional), traducidos enteros con los nombres oficiales de WoW. La guía del juego sigue en inglés en esos cinco hasta la próxima versión. Si hablas alguno, tus correcciones son muy bienvenidas.

Ayúdanos a mejorarlo

Arriba a la derecha de la ventana hay dos botones, en todas las páginas: Reporta tu bug (el escarabajo azul) y Danos tu feedback (el buzón de sugerencias). Cuéntanos qué ha fallado y qué cambiarías. Además, el addon apunta solo sus propios errores, sin nombres, para saber qué arreglar primero.
