Description
Forever City Labels is a public beta for World of Warcraft: Forever. It adds map pins for profession trainers, useful services, and selected class trainers to make early training and travel easier.
Latest hotfix — 0.5.29: Optional mailboxes
- Adds 82 source-backed mailbox pins across 40 city and outdoor maps, covering both factions and all six original capitals.
- Mailbox markers start OFF. Enable Map labels > Mailbox (or type /fcl) if you prefer FCL's markers alongside the game's own mailbox display. Your choice is saved per character; existing saved choices are preserved.
- Mailboxes remain separate from nearby trainer groups in compact mode.
- Recorded sightings may be nearby player positions. Provisional locations show [L] with a verification warning on hover. Coverage is growing; Dalaran and objects without usable coordinates remain unresolved.
- Existing trainer/service locations and filters are preserved. 39 offline check executions passed; this is not a full live audit of every mailbox.
Features
- City maps show profession and service icons with labels.
- Outdoor maps show individual icons without permanent names by default. Hover for the name, details, coordinates and source cautions. Optional Compact outdoor pins groups nearby ordinary trainers.
- My professions shows all primary trainers while you have an open primary-profession slot. Once both slots are filled, it shows your learned primary professions. Dropping one reopens the choices. Cooking, Fishing, and First Aid trainers remain discoverable before they are learned.
- Individual switches control professions, services, class trainers and compact outdoor pins. Known faction-specific pins are hidden from the other faction. Unknown mailbox access is flagged on hover; a pin is not a safe-access guarantee.
- Coverage includes the original capitals, selected starter and leveling zones, and several Forever-specific beta locations. Not every NPC, mailbox or exact beta position is mapped.
Open the world map and click Map labels, or type /fcl. Settings are saved per character.
Help improve the beta: Report a missing or misplaced pin in the comments. Include the zone, NPC or mailbox, in-game coordinates, faction and relevant map-label settings. A screenshot helps. Legacy locations show [L] or a verification warning; they are not confirmed current positions.
